Very nice build Ricebox.
However I have to say that is it only practical for getting the staff for yourself.
It sux for faming. A good farming build must be able to work independant of spawns or circumstances, so that you can do it repeatedly.
That being said, I wasnt to say that I'm not saying your build is bad, and I'm thankful to you for posting it.
Also your build is perfect for Chkkr Thousand Tail. The boss that drops the barrage ranger bow next to saint anjecka's shrine.
Only difference is, glyph of renewal is ESSENTIAL. All you gotta do is pull the dragons to Chkkr, and cast sliver armor 2-3 times.
PS: Yikes!!! I forgot to mention that you must have some kind of quest active to have the dragons there. I dont remember which one it is, but you can find out... Those dragons are also great farming with SOJ and EOE.

havent survived when oni appeared yet
3. @ricebox: no offense intended, but your stating is pretty strange
your 13 in heal give you a brezze regen of 8, combined with 4 of mending its 12 ... but 10 is max, and since you dont suffer from any degen, that 13 is pretty much a waste of points.
with that setup it took me always like 3 rounds to kill him ...
use that one, lasts a sec longer+ more dmg, which easily downs him in one round of sliver armor:
smiting 8
healing 9 -> 7 breeze regen + 3 mending regen -> 10 ( max ) total regen
divine 12
Prot 10
Earth 12
he still got to drop that staff for me :P ( did it now after about 7 runs .. )
but nice guide in all other aspects, ty
Edit: Just realized, btw, Blessed Aura DOES NOT work on sliver armor .. its NOT a monk enchantment

Thanks for the insight and corrections... well you were right in all aspects, so im going to do another update on the attributes.. plus ill be adding more tips... in fact, i just found out that the farm is doable even tho there are gakis in the group!

Thanks.. but actually, you can make alot of cash when you sell the staff, it can go around 30-50k, just sold one today at 40k.. about the gakis i've updated the guide, cause the farm is actually doable even tho there are gakis around!
So yeah, just read the first post in this thread, im sure it'll be a big help! good luck to everyone reading this thread!

Isnt this just a direct copy of the ele solo, just as a monk. Its pretty much the same skills, and i dont see how its faster as you cant get as many points in earth, with glyph of renewal ele's can keep up sliver armour all the time. The title is basicly the same and everything, but kudo's do you if you didnt see that other solo and well done. Even if you did sort of copy it well done for shedding some light on it for monks. Oh, where the hell you sell ghails staff for 50k I been trying to sell it in droks dis 1 for like 10k and no-one will buy it, i would appreciate it sooo much if you guys could say because i got like 5 of them Thanks

And as i mentioned somewhere within my first post, the guide is to help monks who are canthan-born to farm the scar eater.
About ghial's staff, i sold some in Kaineng, Deldrimor, LA, Senji's, and TOPK. Dont sell them for 10k, unless you're really that generous. if you do, ill buy for 10k from you, or ill buy all 5 for 10k ea... deal?

Yes, i was merely pointing out, well done though. Oh, regarding the staff, thanks for those areas, sold one for 45k seeing as your going to be making 30-40k profit from them...nah I think i will hold on to them for a little while

I keep spawning after I die intially across the map not at the res shrine shown in your video. Its not to far away but I encounter warden's with enchantment stripping along the way.
Can anyone tell me why I always spawn in a different area than shown in the video?
EDIT - I tried this at least 20 times last night. Maybe favor of the gods has to do with where we spawn? Or whether we are tied to Kurzicks or Luxons? I may be grasping at straws here but I'm trying to figure out why.

you spawn there becuase your alliance (kurz/luxon) does not have control of the area. normally you will need more kurz faction there to spawn at the shrine. a way around this is to bribe the priest at the beginning to use the shrine. cost's 50g.
And yes an e/mo can farm it...i do it with my e/mo...a bit quicker that way.
hum got a staff on my first run this morning and have gotten nothing else after it...not anything at all...no scroll, item or gold at all from him.

anytime =). also if you are still haveing problems with the 13 hp...die again and get 30dp and pay 100g for the blessing which gives you +3 regen and 25hp extra. i normally use meding and watchful spirit for +5 regen then the healing breeze.

Another option
For those of you that don't have a monk or ele but have a assasin, or have trouble doing the 55 build, or would just like an easier way.....
Here you go.
I am not sure when the 13 second clock starts but here is a/e build that takes less then a minute once you spawn out of the armory. Not sure it can be done any quicker than this.
Mad props for the Build must go to Desire. I have been doing the monk build for a while now and then I made an Assasin and it is actually much easier than the monk build.

I dont know whether something has been nerfed or not but I am pretty sure this no longer works. The reason? Kirins will strip / rend enchants the very first chance they get - end of sports.
I have to say that it took far longer for them to do this when there were gakis in group but when you got a spawn that was gaki free they do it the second you attack scareater and try to use sliver.
I also have to say that maybe it wouldnt happen if you hit SB as you got there, but i was finding that not using renewal led to him not dying from one round of sliver.

One thing I have used to take him down really quickly is to put a few points into air magic and use Gale. The 3 seconds he is sitting on the ground not casting is priceless beyond words. What I always do is to allow sliver armor to run for a second or two then gale him down. By the time he stands back up to cast a spell he is dead usually.
That is taking for granted you get all the mobs to follow you to him.

the build i'm using is pretty foolproof and i suggest that all of you who cant manage with this build to try it.
Its 55 hp
Protective Spirit
Spirit Bond
Glyph of Elemental Power
Sliver Armor
Healing Hands
Mending
Essence Bond
Watchful Spirit
Balthazar's Spirit
With this build u can stand pressure from all 3 groups for as long it takes to cast glyph + sliver. if u get all 3 groups he will get down in 1 sliver duration and u dont have to care about gaki's. Only Oni mess up.
Good luck
