Default Invincible Flag-Running Baddass of Doom

Ok, maybe the title's a bit of a misnomer - but that seriosly how I felt in RA and TA last night.

Tried this build out in RA thinking, "Well, ANYTHING can work in RA - right?"

Worked out horribly well - tried in TA - same results.

Was running:

Lightning Jav., Obs. Flame, *Lightning Surge*, Windborne Speed, Kinetic Armor, Air Attunement, Aura of Restoration, Res. Signet

Strategy:

Open the round with: Kinetic Armor, Air Attunement, Aura of Restoration, Windborne Speed. Use the boost of speed to get to a good position to open fire on a nice target, recast Windborne Speed once or twice if needed to keep Kinetic Armor up. Pick your first target - preferrably the enemy monk. Hit Lightning Surge followed immediately by Obs. Flame. Obs. Flame should hit just as surge goes off, giving a nice spike and knocking them down. Follow immediately with Lightning Jav. - hopefully for the kill. If not throw another jav or two.

If you're playing a map with a flag of some type - grab the flag before you start and either: a) after the opponent plants theirs, or b) after you kill their flag bearer - plant your flag using Windborne Speed, then continue your killing rampage.

The damage was great from this build - and as long as you don't get carried away with Obs Flame and exhaust yourself out your energy should last for a LONG time - and when it gets low - use Windborne Speed and retreat to the backline.

The best part of this build though - at Earth 13+ you're getting about 80 armor from Kinetic Armor and constant healing from Aura of Restoration due to Lightning Javelin spamming. So, with 140 or so armor and constant heals - it takes a rather concerted effort to drop you.

Counters - HEAVY Degen, Lots of focused fire, disenchanting, KD/Interrupt Spam.

Those being listed - if you're not getting hit by several of those at once - you should be at least able to pop Windborne Speed and hightail it back to the backline.

Attribs: I was running the air helm(+1 Air) with an Earth Major rune(+2) for totals of 13Air, 13Earth, 8(?)Energy Storage. Or something around that range. The chest was Minor Vigor and the legs, boots & gloves were Vitae for a total of +50-60 HP (forget what Minor Vigor gives exactly).

Gear: I was using a HSR20 + HCT20 wand and a HSR20 + HCT20 focus with +12 energy. This helps to spam javelin and other damage skills to keep your life and armor up - and helps when tossing up a quick Windborne Speed if you need to escape.

NOTES: The real trick to this build is knowing your limitations. Don't try to spike targets alone when the monk's completely pwning your DPS - Don't overextend against heavy degen/mesmer/disenchant, don't fall into chain KD/Interrupt and if you do, know enough to kite your silly butt out of there. Also, if you have even a half-decent monk you should be able to tank a whole 4-person team without much difficulty as long as they don't have any counters for this.
