Default Heroes Weapons Confusion

with the introduction of heroes, keeping track of the weapons you equip heroes with is quite confusing.

i do not wish to buy the same class of heroes separate weapons for each pve/pvp toon. for example, if im playing my monk, ill equip koss with the weapons i use on my pve warr, so on and so forth for the different class of heroes. but whenever i do this, ill need to retrieve those weapons when i decide to play on my pve warr, pve ele, so on and so forth.

this can get quite confusing if u have mulitple hero classes
and 8+ pve toons.

is there an easy way to keep track of the weapons you equip heroes with without, say, writing it down.

buying multiple weapons for each pve toons heroes isnt something im considering.

ANET should make it possible to take weapons from ur other char's heroes so u can just do an easy weapon swap

Eg. Load Weapon from Char #2's Koss to Char #1's Koss

Would be an awesome idea, as I can't be arsed with the hassle of swapping every time.

Koss and the other melee heroes benefit from using customized weapons.

Customizing Koss's weapon will boost his base damage by 20%. It also means you need a separate weapon for every single Koss on your account.

You can't customize a weapon for "Koss" directly. But Koss is able to equip weapons customized for the PvE character that owns him. So if you customize a weapon for your PvE character and then hand it to the Koss owned by that same PvE character, Koss can equip it and receive the +20% damage bonus.

If you customize, sharing a single set of weapons among all your Kosses is not just an inconvenience -- it's not possible at all.

If you don't customize, your Koss is only hitting for 85% of the damage he would be doing otherwise.

For caster weapons customization is unnecessary, so you can share equipment among your heroes (albeit with the inconvenience of shuffling the items around). But for Koss and the other melee heroes, you pretty much have to buy multiple weapons.

You can't swap customized weapons, and customized whites > uncustomized greens.
Just pick the best loot sword you find while playing with you monk and put it on your hero, do the same thing for all of your warrior/ranger/assassin/dervish/paragon heroes.

And honestly, weapons don't matter (for non-physical attackers), I've completed Nightfall while my heroes had lame white weapons. So your just causing yourself grief by swapping weapons all the time.

While it is a bit tedious to swap weapons between character's heroes, or get multiple weapons and mods for them, I am more concerned about storing them.

Since heroes and you character share inventory, I am at a loss for setting up my heroes for multiple builds. I already don't have enough space on my characters for the weapons that they use, much less multiple weapons in my inventory for potential build differences in my heroes.

True, the only concern I have is the utter lack of storage and inventory space.

Heroes should get access to the pvp equipment builder.

Theoretically you would need to outfit 10*15 (or *16) heroes. Swapping around weapons is pretty tedious and upgrading everyone's armor with runes & insignia would be insane (especially with most stuff sold out).

I also think they should make any drops that are recieved by heros go straight to you, i mena come on, henchies give you their services but take your drops... Why should heros give you their services and not be free, while also keeping drops and money..Doesn't make sense to us, and further more decreasing the wealth of poorer players when they are forced to buy new weapons for their heros :P I Know this has been said before but i really think it needs sorting out.

At the very least they should allow things to be customised to the hero, and give them 10/15 slots to store those items.

well, it is true that just a white weapon customized is better then a green thats not customized,

I am giving my heroes customized perfect white weapons (with mods offcourse, but just not perfect) and its more then enough for them,

BUT

I would also like to see some changes in the system, I got 9 characters atm and in the end they will all have their heroes, but I rly can't buy them all the equipment I want to give them, thats just to much.

It would be nice if there will be some easier swapping method between heroes.

Default heroes cost too much time and gold

ok....so theres like what 11 heroes in elona or so, and i only have 7 (missing sousuke, goren, nogru and magrid) for my dervish....upgrading them with runes and weapons costs quite a bit, then theres upgraded armor for them that you get in Bone Palace by getting items, and that is all cool. However I have 10 pve chars (6 tyrian, 2 canthan, 2 elonans) all lvl 20 except for my paragon, that i'm trying to get through nightfall, so if there was a way i could use the same heroes for all my chars without having to upgrade every single one of them and leveling all of them, it would be great no, at least make the items easily swappable like runes and weapons

With the new updates heroes should have access to pvp equipment. It would be absolutley insane to get that many weapons runes insignias and stuff for all heroes on top of getting the new insignia and runes for ur chars... just a thought.

Heroes = money sink!

Honestly people... it's designed this way so that you'll spend all the plat you've been hoarding. Don't do it! Just use whatever drops and make do.

If ANet wanted a non-money-sink hero option they would have made heroes per account and not per character. Your hero's max level would be whatever level the character in use was. That way you wouldn't be able to make a new char and have a full compliment of 20's as soon as you unlocked them.

Alas... this non-moronic implementation was dropped in favor of the abortion of a system we have now.

First, 2 words: collector weapons. All those Jade Bracelets, Plague Idols, Hydra Claws, Mino Horns + whatever mods you salvage = ideal hero weps.

On the other hand, although it's a pain to the point of being impossible to lug around multiple wep sets for heroes, and even though that specifically limits some of the fun of having heroes in the first place, I have a hard time complaining about it. I mean, in addition to the slick template interface they implemented, each hero you unlock adds 2 storage slots to your account. So if I unlock 10 heroes on 8 characters, that's an additional 80 weapon and 80 offhand storage slots I wouldn't have had (in addition to being able to put a bunch of stuff to use that was just sitting there). Considering I only had 45 slots per character before NF, I'm pretty happy overall, and I can't see asking for more already.

Not saying even one swap space per hero wouldn't be really, really sweet, because it would. Ele and Ranger heroes in particular could use multiple weapon sets.
