AoD is pretty much an extra I used to get in and out of crowds, minion walls and cripple shots as such. But if you don't have that kind of bridging defense situation, it is replaceable, I have tried flourish, of course it works, but you have to consider mark of instability has 20sec charge time which will not be charged by flourish, and 20 sec is enough to compensate for any energy loss during the combo (OK, that was for responding to the following post).
Usually if I am going to take a ranger shrine, the NPC crippleshots and condition will get me half life before I can reach them, therefore I might not survive after the combo ('cause there are two NPCs), teleport in and out seems to be the answer to sweep them one at a time.
Energy is not a problem in this build, recharge time is. Get in, kill and get out, it is my understanding of an Assassin.

I dont have a link to your build post, can you give it to me so I can check it out?
It seems like a long chain sin isn't it?

Build what I use in AB is :
CRITICAL STRIKE: 13 (10+3)
DAGGER MASTERY:12(8+1+3)
DEADLY ARTS :9
SHADOW ARTS:3
HEALING PRAYERS:9
Skills: Golden phoenix strike-twisting fangs-Golden lotus strike-Entangling asp-Healing breeze-Dash-Shadow of haste-Aura of displacement
This is funny build for me,like you see this is mention to hit and run away.
You degen your target, and if you need you can always "teleport" far away.
Combo: Shadow of haste and Dash is very good= you can't have 2 stances,so when you cast Shadow of haste you can go in group cast Aura of displacement, degen your target and before they kill you use Dash to teleport to place where you casted Shadow of haste.
If they came there and you can't run away try again cast Shadow of haste and stop maintling Aura of diplacement so you will again teleport there where you casted it.
This is a bit hard build, but very funny and good.
In 1 AB battle I maybe die 1-2 times but I kill 15 and more my targets.
Maybe you will not like this build, but I wanted to have assassin what is mention to be: Deadly and Fast,Hit and Run----I think this build is that build,I will not say it is my build, but it is different from other Aura-Shadow-Dash combo
And yes: you need +5 energy dagger and 1 zealous is you need for energy(it have -1 pip for energy recharge but you can always change weapons)
I will put video here on forum when I finished it,and picture but i dont know how to put it here
PS. there are new skills for assassin,I think I can make better assassin
Please comment this

Except energy management is my main concern for your build (even with weapon swapping), lord, especially in messy situations, everything else looks fine.
Yanssassin is somewhat an inferior build because of the concept of the build.
Now the assumption is that the Yanassassin is not alone(must have a monk present to provide support, which has to be guaranteed in safety, which is almost impossible) and the enemy is(has to be vulnerable to KD, unable to get heal, prot or hex/condition removal). It may work in smaller, unorganized fights, but in a larger, more organized and prepared context, it just won't work.
