Default Dunkoro.

I think this should definetely be brought up. In my experience using him (for the entire cliffs and the Digging site), he has moved BEHIND everybody else, reacted incredibally slowly, and doesn't really do much in general for the team. It would seem that his age (lol) has caught up to him. Anybody else notice this?

Not me. My dunkoro is as youthful as souske, and as aggressive as koss.

Think the build got something to do with it?

Right. but he casts heals borderline-fatally. My build is just a modified build that I made, some condition removals and some heals. and a rez.

energy assistance from others?
using conditional skill?
etc

You can always move him closer with a flag...or did you place him on passive mode?

Take his old ass out back and shoot him

I don't really like his skin, I must say.

I've not had any problems with him. What is your build?

I have him on defence, size of party is 4, in the Cliffs of Dohjok (dont know the last part of the name, so i wrote that hoping it sounded right). His build... let me go find it again. I don't remember it from last night.

energy assistance- no
conditional spells- no

build: lv8

Healing lv5
Protection lv4
Divine Favor lv4

Mark of Protection
Orison of Healing
Healing Breeze
Guardian
Vigorous Spirit
Mend Ailment
Remove Hex
Resurrect

looking over the build, i can see how some skills are retarted and in need of subbing (i.e. orison and possibly remove hex, but i need that against the plant-casters for now), but overall I can't see really any reason why the build shouldn't work. It's unconventional, yeah, but I tuned it down to what I needed it to be and what I could get for a lv8 hero w/o his 15 attribute points like Koss or me.

I think you're trying to get too 'cute' with his skillbar. Try something a little more conventional, and see if your still having the problem. Between you me and the wall, I'd drop Heal breeze regardless.

lol. healing breeze has saved me several times already.

he seemed a little better while i was doing some stuff in the keys, but he runs away like a mob caster to enemies or just stands there. he's still very odd.

btw- cute? with his skillbar? i'm just trying to find a way for him to keep me alive until I can boon-prot him up.

I like running him with:

Mend condition
Orison
Dwayna's kiss
Word of healing
Heal other
Power drain or revealed hex
inspired hex
res sig (yay for all heroes that cast it at same time to only cancel and recast it!)

I basically have a similar build with thalkora (the 2nd monk hero), but switch out WoH for restore condition, works great. Except she casts RC too much, when no one has conditions!

cool. for some reason, some of the skills i have on my monk dont seem to show up for dun 0.o until i get him some runes and stuff, i dont think i'll be able to run more than 3 skills that cost 10+ energy on him. Hmm. But- as my original reason was for this topic- nobody has experienced any weirdness from him? Or is Snipious right, and the computer is having too hard a time with my unconventional skill bar?

After seeing the build, I see it quite obvious why your dunkoro behaves like that.

Mark of protection disable your protection spells, and if the AI chose a protection spell as his next spell, he will not cancel the order and instead he will wait until the skill is available.

The AI do not have the ability to decide when to cancel something.

Try shift-click your mark of protection out so you can use it manually yourself, see if that help.

I think part of your problem is that you also have him on Defense mode. On defense the Ai will always be in the back and wait there. They will always be the last character to move out with the team. Unless you set a flag point.

I keep my Dunkoro on passive mode, He usually stays somewhere around the midline and is very responsive with his heals. I'm not worried about him because I have seen him Kite enemies before. If he's in danger, he usually Kites to the backline and then runs toward my location. So when I drop my target, I usually Kill whatever is chasing him.

Dunkoro is the man.

Heh. I tried running him as a straight-out boon protter. He failed completely. No idea why. Took tahlkora at the same level, she works perfectly. Is dunkoro set up (AI wise) to run more healing-prayers-oriented builds? Or am I talking noob-crazy-talk?

From my experience Dunkoro has no problems running protective builds (use him with a BL/Prot build with nice success), the only bug I noticed is he never uses his Signet of Devotion with this build, forcing me to change part of his bar...

This is the case with all AI Heroes / Henchmen...look at Sister Tai for example... Throughout all my time in Cantha I noticed that she would MUCH rather let you die and have to resurrect you than actually heal you in the first place! My DUnkoro is not quite that bad...but he's still not a "great healer"...

My dunkoro is perfect. Well as perfect as an ai hero can be, seriosuly he's gotten me outta more scrapes than most human monks. Even when the whole party is on the verge of death he keeps on chuggin on avoidin the enemies and healing and rezing really fast :/.
