He wants his for PVP as well. Running crap like 12 weapon mastery in PVP is insane. Face it, Sentinel's is just bad for PVP and only marginally better in PVE. Strength is such a garbage line, the only time I would ever get 13 in it was if I had nothing else to spec into - you're definately going to have to do other attributes in PVP.

3. totem axe farming isnt bad either. they are easily sellable for 5k each, and i average 2-3 per run, which takes a lil less than an hour to complete, which comes out to about 12-20k per hour again, on average.

um...1k a run? geez... when I troll farmed, I only gained like 500g.. are you over exaggerating?

okokok I got the best answer to his question!
Ok here goes!
ready?
are you sitting down yet?
okok
*drummroll drrrrrrrrrrrr*
Wait for the nightfallstats!
Who knows maybe they'll add a tacticians set with 13 tactics=100AL or something that gives energy while in a stance or some weird thing.
That's what I'm doing, I had the money for fow for like more than half a year now but waited... and still waiting X.x

Other option is Beserkers. You will run into degen and armor ignoring damage alot, be it PvP or PvE. Beserkers is the better option in those cases. Again, you will not miss the extra armor, and you will appreciate the increased health.
That said.. it's better to have MULTIPLE sets of armor... and no one in any PvP that matters is going to care whether you have fissure's or the cheap 1.5 Droks set. They don't tend to hold much sway in that stuff. So I'd find something that was good in PvE and use that as your Fissure set (ie... Dreadnaughts) and have cheap sets to use as your PvP armor. But then again, thats just me.
I would encourage you to wait out NightFall and see if they have a new armor set that you want more.

Although, you should be getting weaponmastery helms, which are always used in PVP to incrase damage from attacks.
Also, you will never notice the extra armor in PVP, but will notice extra energy or health.

nope, 1k was a conservative estimate... on average, you can aggro and kill 18-20 trolls in one aggro (other 3 aint worth the time since u cant group em). more than 90% of those trolls drop at least "something", the lowest of value being a white weapon worth 50g merch value, or i guess 20g tusks value. on a conservative estimate, say u kill 18 trolls, and 16 of them drop something. i believe guildwiki had their tusk drop rate at about 40%, so thats about 6 tusks there (120g), 2 blue items (200g avg), 5 white items (200g avg), and 3 dropped money, which is always over 100g (300g). 300+200+200+120=820g at the very minimum u could earn. a good percentage of those blues will be precious and worth 200-300g to merch, as well the occasional purple and gold drops, worth more.
as for people completing spider cave runs in 20 and 40 minutes, i'd pay to see that. not possible using the standard W/Me build, unless ya'll have some super build we dont know about... as for FoW chests, they're like any other in game, and in fact worse, since their keys cost so much. i myself always take keys and open chests cuz i find it fun, but it is NEVER even close to being "profitable" in the long run, anywhere in guild wars.

long term it's not profitable, but you can get some nice stuff out of those chests. I got a perfect forbidden staff 10/10 that my ele likes quite a bit.

Skreet, save those keys and use them in Talus Chute, please..
Although it has been established that Sentinel's is not the choice, I'd like to beat it into the ground yet again.
Strength: 12 + 1
Sword/Axe/Hammer: 12 + 1 + 3
Tactics: 2? + 1
No tactics = No self-heal (a must in PvE) = No Watch Yourself! = Few Stances (bye bye Bonetti's) = the current PuG warriors? /sigh.
Don't make the good warriors look bad.

depending what i'm doing, i either go full tacs or full strength and leave the other empty, and u dont need tacs to heal. u can use healing spells with monk secondary, or troll ugent with ranger secondary (which isnt an enchant like healing breeze and costs less). i'm talkin about solo farming too. also, Defy Pain is a GREAT elite stance for strength, its like endure pain+watch yourself in one, and requires little adrenaline. endure pain, though not a stance, is another good strength defensive skill. cya

40 min is easy with a w/mes build. I haven't read the spider thread for a bit, but I think I recall people talking about more aggresive builds pushing towards the lower than 40 mark. Its one of those things that once you get used to it you can start cutting the defensive dead weight and maximizing damage output even further.
A good chest can take u from rags to riches. I'm not sure that fow stuff is worth what it used to be, but I nabbed a 15^50 shadowblade when they came out and have lived comfortably since then. Plus I find spiders more ejoyable than trolls. You at least have to pay attention while doing it.

Sentinal armor doesn't offer much for the big (in my opinion) disadvantage it has of requiring strength = 13.
Base warrior armor is 80AL + 20AL vs physical. Sentinal armor is 100AL period (no additional armor vs. physical). So that really only nets you a +20AL vs elemental damage since base warrior armor already had 100AL vs physical. And if you let your strength dip below 13, then you're actually worse than base warrior armor (80AL vs everything, including physical).
Unless you are specifically trying to fend off elemental attacks, I'd say the strength = 13 requirement is too much of a disadvantage.
I personally use dreadnought for PvE most of the time and gladiator for PvP most of the time. I can see uses for legionnaire and berserker but I prefer what I have now.

also i have a question... sorry if this is redundant but i need some closure here.
knights armour... is it universal and non stacking or not?
the reason i ask is... someone posted on here that it is and gave detailed explaination as to why and how he tested it, but guildwiki states otherwise....
if you dont mind..what do you guys think?
would it be worth it to get one set of knights gloves in fow?? i am looking to buy as well.

Knight's bonus stacks but it's locational, so to get a constant stacking -3 physical damage you'd have to wear a full suit. Just wearing the gloves would only give you ~15% for the damage reduction.

It was changed fairly recently (a month or two?). It was global before, and now it is locational. Thus the discrepency.
