I have an idea. Load your bar up with death magic cold damage spells. Was that difficult, or am I going to have to tell you EXACTLY what to do? Fun hint: Signet of Lost Souls + Taste of Pain = Really nice healing spike.

I dont know about that heres 2 reasons....First off Icy veins is a Soul reaping attribute.Second off Direct damage death magic spells suck and dont do enought damage... I need something that will make some sort of chain reaction "kill bad guy everyone dies".. Maybe a good secondary profession.but i dont know the skill layout very well.. If I Echo Icy viens and caste it one every thats good but then i dont have any good damage dealing skills to kill anything maybe 15 stats points in blood magic.hmmm

Here's a hint: Icy Veins at 14 Soul Reaping is perfectly acceptable.

Untested experiemental - Theoretical - Build
Here is something:
Soul Barbs
Icy Veins (e)
Parasitic Bond
Ether Phantom / Drain Delusion
Images of Remorse ? / Ether Lord ? / Guilt / Mind Wrack
Phantom Pain
Wastrel's Worry
Rez Signet
The object is to curse with SB, then IV, then PB, PP, WW (until you are near out of energy), then EP or EL
I chose little energy hexes (most are 5 energy), because the hex themselves are not the damage, but SB is. WW is spamable. EL is a good way to start getting new energy.
Please note: SR: 12 + head piece + rune; Curse: 12 + rune; 3 into either Inspiration Magic or Domination or Illusion (your choice).
This should give you the ability to cause massive damage and utilize IV a lot.
Hope this helps.

Icy Veins probably isn't all that useful in PvP, but a monster skill in PvE now (thanks for pointing it out, now I'm gonna cap it!). You don't have to base your whole build off it though.
(12+4) Death
(10+3) Soul Reaping
(8) Healing
Rest in Blood
Animate Bone Fiend
Blood of the Master
Dark Bond
Karei's Healing Circle
Icy Veins (e)
Signet of Lost Souls
Taste of Death
Resurrection Chant
Classic MM build that gains a lot of punch by throwing Icy Veins on everything in sight. 2 Sup runes though, so Dark Bond is a lifesaver. Besides, Flesh Golem is boring (and that thing is stupid now for some reason, it has a problem with following you when you run around...)

Just use it as an MM elite. Drop the ridiculous Deathly Swarm and spam Icy on various targets. Your minions will make sure the damage triggers rapidly, creating massive damage balls.

Before the EoE nerf, I would have said go N/R and bust that out with Death Nova and Taste of Death. Oh well, guess you can still use Taste/Nova. I don't claim to know a lot about ritualists, but this thread might interest you, maybe you could fit Icy Veins in there somehow.

That could be way deadlier than Blood spike if the hexes stack... if it does, then the aftershock will kill all the squishies around the target as well.

16 blood
13 soul
Dark Pact
Blood of the aggressor
Vamp gaze
icy veins
signet of lost souls
-open
-open
-open
basically spam dark pact and blood of the agressor. dark pact makes you sacrifice, but blood of the agressor usually heals for the amount you lose from dark pact. dark pact and blood of the agressor both hit in the 50s, and have a synergistic affect. Spam icy veins on all the targets in the area and you get a nice chain reaction.
Using Vamp gaze for a light heal only if needed along with sig of lost souls, you can spam for a long time.
the other spots doesn't really matter because the the three spaming skills you have recharges in 2s,3s,5s, so you'll be constanly spamming those three.

Icy viens will trigger its initial damage even if its still on the first cast, so a SB icy viens spike is possible. It doesn't do te same AoE though, that only triggers once.
