Default Zealous Benediction

Target Ally is healed for 30...150 Health. If that ally's health was below 50%, you gain 10 energy (Protection Prayers)

Energy:10
Casting Time: 3/4
Recharge: 4

Personally, I think that this will be a very useful skill for protection monks, seeing as we lack a direct heal, and can only heal through divine boon + divine favor. The effects are equivalent to Word of Healing, only that you lose no energy when you're target is below 50%.

What are your thoughts?

been using it as prot, one word;

godly

just, be careful if you got a woh, as theyll want the same target as you, so only use it if theres multiple targets that need a quick heal.

yeah, it's rediculously powerful, it's nice.

but like the above poster said, if somebody else heals that target first... it's like somebody has punched you in the kidney hehe

it's nice, but it kinda suffers the same problem as WoH: the divine favour bonus will apply before this is triggered, so you often will get no energy. having your monk partner healing the target doesn't help either.

basically, if you're used to your partner, it's nice. for general play, stay away from it.

I say go for it even if you do have a WoH partner... I don't like prot myself, but I'd be more than happy if the other monk in my party was using this, nothing wrong with having a strong heal.

This almost makes me wanna come up with a prot build

this isnt true, it works different from woh, the energy bonus will apply BEFORE the heal came in.

really? hmm, i've never noticed that. personally, i've only managed to get the energy bonus once or twice. i guess i'm just not good with trying to heal a low hp target with a 3/4 sec heal.

How are heros with this skill though are they smart enough to save it for under 50%.(to me I think of it as a suped up heal other rather then a woh.)

ZB is so different than WoH when you take the spell class into consideration. WoH is energy management (5 energy heal other). Yea you get the 10 energy back which rocks, but what makes ZB unique (and different from WoH) is that it fills the biggest flaw of prot monks, bringing low health targets back to full. It would be the equivalent of Spirit Bond being under the Healing Prayers line.

And yes, you can self target. During the preview, this was not the case. Self targeting makes the skill imba I think, but I am not going to complain. The reverse is if it didn't self target, I would never consider running it in GvG.

not really i've used it myself for a few missions but u hardly ever get the energy bonus cause first it applies divine favor and boon (if u use it like i did) so basicly ur ally needs to be like under 150 health for it to give ur energy back at wich 3/4 casting time is lethal for ur ally so i'm not using it, i'm still on my quest for a decent prot elite since mantra got nerfed :P

edit: yes it's capped a kodonur crossroads, the first of the cruel overseers needed for the bonus (if u got left first) otherwise it's offcourse the last (3th) can't remember it's name tho not really important anyways

I searched Wiki to see if anyone had submitted any builds using this skill and didn't find any, so I submitted one myself. If anyone wants to review it, flame it, or submit something better, I would encourage them. If mine sucks, then it sucks, but I think this skill is worthy of having some sort of build based on it posted at Wiki. The one I submitted was a sort of Blessed Escaper spin-off that I found some success with. I never got a chance to test ZB in HA or a GvG, so I would be interested to hear from anyone who has used this skill in either of these settings and what build they used.
