umm that usually won't work. All this would do is hit the cover enchant (i.e. Healing Breeze or something of the like) and prot spirit would negate the damage from SE.

As said before, Vamp Touch ftw.

if the 55 has spell breaker on, barbed signet and unholy feast will take care of it.

At 12 blood, gaze only steals 52 health, which leaves him 3 health to reheal.

Vampiric Touch or Bite is all you need - one touch and he's dead. Poof.

Vampiric Touch is a skill, so Spell Breaker won't stop it.

Kill the enchants you give the monk. If he does hide behind spell breaker, Vamp him........ 55 Monks suck in PvP so dont know why theres a problem........

Vampiric Touch ftw!

at even just 9 Blood, it does 56 dmg and will kill him out right. use to love running a touch nec in AB, and finding someone who actually ran a 55 in there. one-touch-kill him 2 or 3 times and they yell at you and ragequit. always fun lol!

You have to keep in mind that there are more than one type of invic-monk. A 55 would be fodder to Vamp touch, but Spirit Bonders would not be soo vunerable. Same with the new monk build using SoA. Vamp Touch may not recharge fast enough to take the monk out.

Spirit bonders are not likely to work well anymore, particularly against the Searing+Glowing combo of constant damage and burning. SoA doesn't apply to vamp damage. Any of these will die to Diversion though. You could also do Gaze of Contempt (right after he reapplies his prot enchant) + Mind Burn or something.

true, but you can work around that. just use the same principle of the touch rangers: spam vamp touch and bite while using your elite for energy management, but instead of OoB, use prodigy. max out energy storage and blood. slap on prodigy and spam away. they will run out of health long before you run out of energy. plus, vamp will bypass/not activate most of the standard invinci-skills: obsidian flesh and most of the earth line, spellbreaker, spirit bond, prot spirit, SoA, and most anything else im forgetting.

It's not quite as easy as you guys are suggesting; if the 55 HP guy is any good, the battle should last over a minute, and quite possibly over two minutes.

If he plays halfway well, he won't die until his energy supply has run all the way down.

actually he should only last about 1/4 sec, the time it takes to cast vamp touch. its an instant kill.

55 hp - 65 hp life steal from vamp = dead 55 monk!

Details, details. I was assuming a more elementalist-oriented build.

Counters that exsist in the elementalist skill line mainly sit in the fire like.

Burning them is quite effective... I will negate most of there health regeneration. They might use healing breeze in whitch case you would need to fire off a simple AoE spell whitch hits lots of times in sucession. Firestorm/Breath of fire ect

although they don't loose alot of health from an attack if you hit them enough sucessive times with there health regeneration already dealt with.

Other than that necro or mesmer skills are more effective counters.
