Up front, I'll say that I understand that there are a lot of variables that determine whether one encounters a certain boss or not. Quests/missions completed, random spawns, obscure corners of the map that monsters like to hide in, etc. That aside, I spent the entire weekend searching for a boss with this skill to no avail. It appears that everyone else has had the same luck.

I will say that I focused mainly in a few areas where Enchanted Brambles are abundant (the creatures that are famous for using this skill) without finding a single enchanted bramble boss.

Areas explored/tested:

Mirror of Lyss (laughable, I think only 2 groups with enchanted brambles in the entire map, but still cleared 7 times)

Holding of Chokhin, tons of them here, oh, and the ele plants that travel with them (forget name)-2 of those bosses in one map ( that happen to spawn every single time). Cleared oh about 24 times.

Vehtendi Valley, another good spot for Brambles, alas no boss after 17 clears. But the mesmer plants that complete the famous trios had a constant boss spawning here.

There are another couple small areas where I have seen these guys, but only as an afterthought with area focusing much more on harpies and beetles, by the way I cleared Dasha Vesibule 11 times, annoying as it was with no map saving. Another good area for them, and good for raising Sunspear ranks as it's loaded with Roaring Ethers and more frequently various Djinn.

That brings up a rather disturbing possibilities that perhaps the boss with this skill has either not been created yet, he was mistakenly taken away when this skill was renamed from "sandy grip", or that the required quests are very uncommon.

Of course I should know something could be wrong when even the 'Wiki has no clue where to cap it.

I guess feel free to comment your own ideas or to criticize mine. On a very related side note, if someone has found this I'll be happy to pay for the location.

***edit, Oddthomas while I do admit that I am asking (at the end) if anyone knows a location, the main point was to inquire about the possibility that this boss does not exist. The other threads are asking for a location only, they don't touch on the possibility of there not being a location. kind of an odd, in-between topic so it could easily be interpreted differently, but thanks all the same.

***edit, also, everyone feel free to post areas that you have cleared in search for this skill so that we may all narrow down the possibilities.

***edit, Former Ruling I would love that to be true, but I doubt we'd be so lucky. Hopefully someone will either find it soon or Anet will realize it's not in there and fix it. I'll wait to hear more.

Since the update one of the bosses in Mirror of Lyss spawns twice (Ether Lord), I assume this is supposed to be the Ebon boss spawn.

update, Former Ruling I'm going to put some hope into that after all. I cleared Mirror of Lyss 13 times hoping that one of the duplicate spawns would be a diff boss at least once but no luck, hopefully it is indeed a bug.
