Lightbulb E/R Flame Slinger - Team Arenas Or 8v8

Elementalist/Ranger - Flame Slinger ( a spiker)

Aura Of Restoration
Fire Attunement
Immolate
Poison Arrow {e}
Mark of Rodgort
Savage Shot
Penetrating Shot
Rez Sig

Obviously this character uses a bow, preferably a fast one. Keep poison arrow and immolate up, mark of rodgort to set the opponent on fire when you use your bow, penetrating shot for some extra spike damage. Fire attunement, AoR, Rez sig for obvious reasons. I haven't tryed this out yet, so I dont know excactly what attributes it has, but it should have the most in Energy Storage and Marksmanship, than Fire Magic.

What do you think?

If MoR is removed, the build is useless for its purpose. This is supposed to be a pressure build, right?

[skill=big]Mark of Rodgort[/skill]

The hex is easily removed, and very costly, energy wise,even though it has a moderately quick recharge. But, this has been done before, and it didn't work too well then.

[skill=big]Inspired Hex[/skill]

One of many that would do this build in from the very beginning.

Spike build? Setting someone on fire constantly is a degen/pressure style build. Poison Arrow makes this even more of a pressure build.

Not trying to discourage you, but this build has always been flawed in a PvP situation.

[skill=big]Immolate[/skill]

Take this build to The Isle Of the Nameless. If it beats either the master of healing or enchantments,I'd be very surprised.

[skill=big]Extinguish[/skill]

Useless in serious PvP. Too many counters.

You know, there's been updates to skills. MoR, for example, only costs 15 energy now and hexes all adjacent foes in addition to the target. So not only is it more spammable, it puts pressure on the monk if he can't remove the hex from all affected allies. If your target gets his hex removed, switch to another one who got the hex and force the monk to spend more energy. I do agree, though, that it's a pretty weak build. I say ditch Immolate for something like Conjure Flame. Fire Attunement doesn't seem very useful with only two spells being used regularly. I would ditch it for an occasional 15-25 energy spell and use GoR instead of AoR if it's available.

Fiery shortbow and barrage anyone? Quickening zephyr and Barrage and MoR and conjureflame. I dont think posin arrow is neccessary because it will only add -2 to the already -7 degen. This is definatly a pressure build you want to get the monk saying, "omg i have to heal half the team?!" I guess a HP ele could counter this easily but, in PvE i think it would do nice. In PvP...useless?
