Morostav Trail Solo Farm - W/X
Profession: W/X
Name: Fishy's Tour Guide
-Equip-
Sword - 15^50 with a vamp and defensive mod. The vamp mod is critical for bosses!
Shield - any stance shield with -2DMG. I use a -2Stance -3Hex.
-Attributes-
Swordmanship 11+3
Tactics 11+1
Strength 10+1
-Skills-
Dolyaks
Heal Sig
Endure Pain
For Great Justice
Flurry
Dragon Slash {E}
Sun and Moon
Deadly Ripostle
This area is next to if not impossible to solo by yourself. I know this is a solo build which it is, with a catch. As soon as you exit Unwaking Waters you will see a resurect shrine manned by 4 Kurzicks. 1 of which will be your best friend. First off draw the afflicted to the group so the priest can heal you and just flail away with your sword. Once Dragon Slash{E} is charged up then you hit For Great Justice. For the next 20 seconds you will chain together Dragon Slash and Sun and Moon. The 2 skills will instantly charge the other up which will allow you to spam them. Also throw in a Deadly Ripostle if there is a mele foe on you. Flurry is used to fuel Dragon Slash and Sun and Moon when For Great Justice Runs out. Kill the Rit or Monk first then the necro in this group but leave one alive. Probably will be the ranger. This makes the next part faster.
Next trick is to aggro the rit boss but instead of pulling him to you, you will be pulling the npc Kurzick Priest instead. If done correctly he will follow you all around Morostav! He starts to heal once you health get's down by 100 or so. Keep him a bit outside your aggro bubble and when he starts to run to heal you, run away from him and towards Strongroot...past the Rit boss but DO NOT aggro Strongroot. That would be cheating. I'll explain later.
Get to the top of the hill where Strongroot is below and head back and kill the Rit boss with For Great Justice + Dragon Slash + Sun and Moon. Then kill the afflicted that you left alive. Voila a greenie wand.
Now aggro Stoneroot and his mob. Make sure you drag the priest down with you part way. Start attacking Stoneroot. You WILL be blind most of the time which is where Deadly Ripostle comes in handy. Keep trying to hit him and use Deadly Ripostle. Boom another greenie, Stoneroots Shelter. Finish off the slackers and proceed to the left.
**The Cheat! Aggro Stoneroot into the Rit and his gang and have Stoneroot kill them for you. You lose a green drop this way though =(
As you are going left you will see a bridge and a lake...head towards the lake first. There is a Ele boss there in the middle of the lake. This fight takes A LOT of time. He will be hitting you with Stone Daggers and Stoning but no biggie. The hard part is wearing him down. At first the fight seems hopeless cause of his aura of restoration. Over time his mana finally dwindles and he can't spam Stoning for the self heals. Just keep pounding away with For Great Justice + Dragon Slash + Sun and Moon. When that wears off use Flurry to recharge everything. He will eventually die and possibly drop a green. I haven't gotten one yet from him. Next head over to the bridge and start hacking till you cross it. Once accross you will see a Necro boss to your right on top of a hill. You will have to kill the 4 patrols in that small area first. So kill them and then pull the Necro. I have only killed this buggar once and no drop.
If you go past the necro boss you will see the infamous Sunreach. He's the hammer boss with the shield everyone wants. Sunreach's Shelter. You will not be able to kill him with this build...the earth warden and mesmers tear you apart. Working on a way to kill him solo and will update when I figure one out.
Now just proceed to wherever your heart desires with your npc Monk =). I believe there are 3 other bosses in Morostav to kill. I'm just to lazy to do that part since this takes a while to drag the npc around.
Summary:
The skills in this build can be switched out to go axe. Eviserate{E}, Penetrating, and Power Attack. I would like to thank Lambda the Great . I took the idea of using a npc priest from his Grenths solo build =).
As for the skills used -
Dolyaks is required to keep from being KD'd
Heal Sig for the times when you have far to many on you for the priest to heal by himself.
Endure Pain- To get your butt out of a tough situation where the priest is to far to heal
For Great Justice - Allows you to spam your attacks
Flurry - Adrenaline recharge when For Great Justice is down
Dragon Slash {E} - Huge DMG +4 adrenaline
Sun and Moon - Dmg +2 adrenaline
Deadly Ripostle - For when you are blind
NOTES!
Wardens of the Season you will NOT be able to kill, just leave them alone. Also if there is a Kirin in the group kill it first! Otherwise you'll be spending a lot of time using your sig. This area drops a TON of Gothic weapons and shields! So go get em guys and bring the prices down! If I am missing something please let me know and I will update the post. =).
*You must have the same amount of Kurz and Lux faction or more of Lux faction to get this to work...otherwise the Kurz will engage the mobs and will be attacked and killed.
**BTW the priest trick works where ever you find a kurz priest hanging around a shrine. For those of you having trouble farming armobstone take that kurz priest out there with you also.

cool, can't wait to try this when I get home. NPC priests healing solo warriors, reminds me of deldrimor warcamp. Someone should write a song about their bravery.

Hey Pegasux, I can't seem to lure the priest away from the shrine any pointers? I have read the instructions but can't get it to run with me all around Morstov's Trail. The priest just runs out to heal me and runs back again. R u sure one can still lure the priest out? I mean its not a problem for me as I can kill the two bosses without it using Winstar's build and got 2 shields in 10 runs so I'm happy. I had to do another 20 more before Kaolin's wand dropped lol. But excellent guide all the same!

to get him to heal you and follow you, you have to either have the same amount of Kurz and Lux faction or more of Luxon. This way he won't try to engage the foe either. To get him to run with you it's a pain at times since you have to keep him outside the aggro bubble to where he cannot heal but close enough to where he will run to you and try to heal you...it sounds kinda weird but it's like the Dwarven Prospector at Grenths Footprint. Once you see him start to run out and heal you, start to run away from him...this way he will follow you all that way out to where ever you would like to go. I normally run out far enough to where he won't heal and let my health drop to 1/4 or so then I back peddle keeping an eye on his red dot, as soon as that thing moves I run away from it and drag him around. Not sure if this got nerfed or not but I was able to do it last week. I'll try it today after work and let you know =).

leave the lightning eles till the end but kill the kirin first. there should be only 1 there which will drop pretty fast. after he is dead it should be smooth sailing.

I can manage to do this just by luring the mobs to the shrine, and i don't really want to run round the whole of Morostav Trail, but when i do try to go for a caster, the other enemies just aggro the priest and kill him sometimes.
Also, if the priest wands the target, does this reduce the drop rate for me?
thanks
