Dervish don't have an advantage with any specific secondary, and few widespread builds even need one. Pick one and experiment

Pure D does enough damage at 16 scythe. Whats wrong with 112's against squishies normally, and once i did a 112 [yes, 112 again] on a warrior. I do ALOT of 112's. Crit range with 16?

I like the Elementalist profession for an all around awesome secondary. Of course, with the new template system that allows you to change at any time, it doesn't really matter which one you choose. But a fiery scythe, Conjure Flame, and Mark of Rodgort can really burn your enemies down fast. Inferno might be a bad idea due to its long aftercast. However, Star Burst is similar, but costs less against a similar target, and doesn't have the aftercast delay. Here's a good fire build... you're not the best protected, but your damage is really good:

Fire Magic: 11
Mysticism: 13 (10+3)
Scythe: 12 (10+1+1)

[skill]Glyph of Elemental Power[/skill][skill]Conjure Flame[/skill][skill]Mark of Rodgort[/skill][skill]Star Burst[/skill][skill]Heart of Fury[/skill][skill]Mystic Vigor[/skill][skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

IAS enhanced Mystic Vigor is your only form of protection, so keep swinging. Other than that, use the Glyph to affect the next 5 fire spells, namely Conjure Flame, Mark of Rodgort, and Star Burst (should be able to get a second one in before the glyph dies). Mystic Sweep adds extra damage with the 3 enchantments you're keeping up. Have fun with it.

Why not use Arcane Conundrum with Lyssa's Avatar?

I've actually noticed that my Scythe isn't hitting for that much damage, even though I'm only at 13 mastery 15^50 + Customized I shouldn't be hitting squishies for 40 dmg only, so perhaps dervishes scythe esn't that good for damage in itself?

to fluffyx post...idk what your problem would be b/c at 13 scythe +5 energy 20%customized i am hitting squishys for around 85dmg and if they are running away about 100(this is pvp)
are u using an elemental dmg wep cuz if u are you are going to do less dmg against ppl with higher elemental armor such as rangers and some elementalists. (idk if ur talking pvp or pve)

and for the topic of the post i use a 4 skill dmg combo in pvp. Heart of holy flame, twin moon sweep, chilling victory, (cruel scythe?) not sure of name but the one that does +dmg and inflicts deep wound to enemies with 50% or lower hp. takes out monks easily unless they are prot spirited of course.
if you want to use same combo against a warrior take an elemental scythe on account they have more defense vs physical.(take a conjur if you feel it is necessary)

hope this helps
