Vermin do drop black dye I dont know how common it is but I know black dye drops everywhere so it doesnt matter. I got 2 black dyes off of farming charr carvings for halloween items in fort ranik mission. 4 from farming vermin. 1 in pre from catacombs and one outside the sanitarium. 2 from trolls outside droks. 1 from am fah and I never farmed the skellies in the mission but I found 1 from undead once on a run to killing rotwing. and a few from the missions in FOW. I found about 14 in the last 4-5 months.

You're really better off just cash farming and buying the dyes... I've seen like 4-5 in my 14 months or so of playing.

^agreed^ dye drops seem to be entirely random so I would also farm for cash/greens/ecto/shards sell them and get your dyes. If I am honest the vast majority of the black dyes that I have recieved as drops have been whilst farming specifically for something else. Black always seems to be just an unexpected added bonus imo, although if you persistantly farm a specific area for long periods of time the loot rate seems to go down and the dye drops seem to go up...just what I have noticed...and I cant really back it up :/

This Is What Ur Looking For
anyone claiming to make 100k in kryta if full of bs, its rare to even get a max gold drop, but whatever, the REAL way to trigger a crazy amount of aggro behind the house is to run all the way to the bridge first, when you do this you will see a HUGE amount of bad guys start to move, when they start to move, you double back and go behind the house (thats where they are going to end up), i discovered this by accident when prophecies first came out , trying to get a max gold sephis to drop, i got a lot of gold sephis axes there but none where max.. so i know 100k+ is way wrong for farming here, anyway GL, and TRY IT, THERES A BIG DIFF IN THE AMOUNT OF AGGRO YOU GET but black dye drops are random, if you want better chance of getting black dye, try farming real low lvl areas OVER and OVER, when the msg about over farming comes up, keep farming there, you will notice more and more dye drops.

I just got 1 black dye on a troll run the other day and I just got one from exploring the Factions noob island. 2 in 2 days, lucky considering I've only gotten like 3-4 before these ones dropped for me and I've been playing for almost 19 months.

(figured it would be more efficient useing a 55 to farming this than a axe slinging wammo... >.< but i can only get the first big 'event' to trigger..cant get the other 2.)

It's just how many things you kill... more you kill, more black dyes you'll get. I farm GoK - it's quick cash (small amounts but tons of kills) and I've had 11 black dyes in the last 2 weeks.

A thing I do when I undead farm is once "the event" has happened - i back up the hill from which you came down. This then causes all the aggro on Oink (not a problem seeing he is invincible). Then when I'm sure he's got everyone, i run in and stand right where oink is. This puts me in the heat of battle (prime for cyclone), and only about 1/3 of the hits are going at me, making life that much easier. Also I swop out Triple Chop for HH (just incase), and holy dmg cyclone is easily enough to deal the dmg (I get around 200). This build may not rake in the cash, but its an EASY 1k every 5mins that can easily be done while watching tv.
As for black dyes - in the 9 months I've been playing I have found 1 black dye, which was from a Grawl in Witman's Folly while i was capping ViM. I even did abit of the presearing dye farming. I seared that character with an iventory full of silvers, but no blacks

When I farm the undead I leave Oink behind.. pathetic low lvl undead :P
Even as an ele with no armor buffs, Aura of Res is all I need to keep me up. I spam Lava Font (kills them before AoE AI makes them run), Flame Burst, and Inferno with Phoenix to kill the warlocks (kills minions before it hits them, making their Dark Bond useless). Much, much faster than any build I've run on my warr, ranger, or monk.

anyone saying gates of kryta farming doesn't make money should really try it more, the real money is from the gold drops and their MODS, i got a 20/20 sword and +30 bow grip in 2 runs, not to mention about 8 dyes, it DOES work
made 70k ---not bad for 20 mins work

100k is totally possible. Stop being so narrow minded. Just because you can't make 100k doesn't mean 1mil other accounts can't. You only speak for yourself and your own bad luck. You don't need max dmg Sephis to get perfect mods correct?

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but what is GoK farming? And what build do you use. Cause id really love to get out of Guild Wars poverty and rack up the money .
