Solo farm mostly anywhere with heroes
Just thought that I'd post my hero build after managing to solo the monk and elly bosses allong with large groups of level 22+ enemies outside vasburg armoury with heroes 3 times (still no greens tho )
You can see the skillbars in the following screenshot:
The build requires you to play Renewal nuker or MM, a hero with the other and 2 hero monks which only need 3 healing skills and the rest inspiration.
In some areas, you may need to add condition removal, changing one of the drain enchatments with mend condition is usually enough.
Healers boon allows the hero monks to keep a team fully healed using just orison and whisper, and the remaining inspiration skills are self explanatory - humility x2 to block elites e.g. use this on monk bosses to greatly cripple their healing, power drain for plenty of E management and perfect interupts, and drain enchantment because I didnt think anything else would be more usefull
The attributes Im using on the monks are 10 insp, 14 heal, 10 divine favor. 16 healing would be better but I'm only using a major healing rune with a minor divine on the headpiece.
If this build is capable of solo farming outside vasburg, im sure it will be fine in many high end mesmer free areas. Also, I think it could work with just healers boon and healing whisper, Im off to test it now.

This was a double post: editing it for my next post which I would have added above instead.
Actually, I just got all the way to the monk boss and killed it with just whisper + Healing boon:
I didnt bother going for the elly boss as im trying to farm 2 scar eater staffs for my monks.

Heroes take drops just as heanchmen. Also solo means only you without the aid of heroes/heanchmen/players.
One way is to kill everything except a boss then flag the heanchies/heroes somewhere else so that the names are grey, after that kill boss yourself to get the drop(s) from it.

I'm confused! How is this solo farming when you have heroes with you? Shouldn't this thread be titled "Playing PvE with my Heroes"?

I think the thread title was perfectly clear.

The heroes are necessary only to kill the enemies around the boss. Once killed make sure the heroes go far from the boss and then kill the boss alone. This is how farm greens with heroes
Sorry for my bad English....
Hope you have understood

Again sorry for calling it solo farm, by that I meant its because you only use your player and 3 bots, so its solo without other players.
Also discharge enchantment >>> Drain enchant. The monks already have plenty of e management and discharge recharges in half the time, even quicker if they cast web first. I tried it with a bit of smite and a scourge enchant on one monk and scourge healing on the other, but its not really needed.
The scar eater is one of the most difficult monk bosses to farm and sometimes its a struggle (heroes are deffo needed against him, solo nuking him doesnt work - boon prot, healing burst, healing breeze, release enchantments), however Jayne is easier then a fly.
Also one of the collectors in vasburg armoury has some nice protection staffs with a divine favor req, so I've picked up a couple of these to replace the candy weps
Anyway this is my monk build to stay, except I normally use boon, orison, dismiss condition/prot spirit, whisper then rest inspirataion.
Wow, jayne actually drops a really nice hammer as well as a staff:

Would be nice for koss!

Like what Jelloblimp says, you should create a solo build that can tank and kill the boss by yourself, like a war. Get 3 heroes and 4 henchies and kill everybody but the boss and then flee. Afterwards, flag your heroes away from the boss until they are out of range (names greyed out). And then kill the boss by yourself. You will get all the drops and maybe even a green.

'This monk is extremely hard'
Even once he's running low on health, if he pulls of his skill list he's on full health again, the interupts and enchant removal are seriously required (I guess a mesmer might be able to solo him)
This is the only boss whose unique im trying to get and just decided to go for other bosses for fun.

Spirit shackles, Spirit of failure and Mindwrack don't work anymore? I mean if you kill his vanguard, then send henchies away, then hide below the ledge safe from his wand attacks and keep these hexes on him at all times, he should basically kill himself in no time.

That could work. I could roll a secondary mesmer build, take some more hench for damage then try to solo him. I'll give it a try, thanks for the suggestion. Diversion ftw.
