Default Builds I have used and Builds I have not

I just thought I would write down what I’m using and what I am planning on using.

First, all builds have either 9 or 12 mysticism. Do not pick any level besides these two, as that is wasted. This gives you either 3 or 4 energy back when an enchant ends. Second, all of the MELEE builds have 15 or 16 scythe. Third, unless otherwise stated, all builds have at least 8 in Earth Prayers (cause that gives Mystic Regeneration +3 regen per enchant)

General Purpose PvE

Mystic Sweep
Wearying Strike
Heart of Fury
Avatar of Melandru
Mystic Regeneration
Vital Boon
Faithful Intervention [easier areas] / Signet of Pious Light [in more difficult areas]
Rebirth [playing with humans]/ Conviction [end game, playing with Heros/Henchies]

I use the above through 95% of the game and it works great. I use it in RA too. Melandru+ Wearying strike for the harder battles and bosses. You do not die with this build…until the end game anyway and even there it is pretty good. Note that Faithful is easier when you just need an extra enchant, but Pious Light is better when you need “spike heals”.

The “How do you kill that which does not have a life” build (South Park reference BTW)

AKA Kill the Undead build

Mystic Sweep
Heart of Fury
Heart of Holy Flame
Mystic Regen
Vital Boon
Avatar of Balthazar
Faithful Intervention [easier areas] / Signet of Pious Light [in more difficult areas]
Rebirth [playing with humans]/ Conviction [end game, playing with Heros/Henchies]

With this build, undead just friggin melt. Your Heart of Holy Flame does 100 AOE damage, then your scythe attacks are holy damage, so they essentially do double damage. I’ll say that again. Double Damage Scythe Attacks. Avatar of Balthazar also causes holy damage. But I sort of think if you want to really get crazy with this, swap out Balthazar and Faithful Intervention, pump wind mastery to 10, and add in Zealous Vow and Eremite’s Attack. Have not tried it though.

Question to those who may know: where is the best place in all GW lands to kill undead for fun and profit?

My General PvP build (for RA and hero battles):
Mystic Sweep
Wearying Strike
Heart of Fury
Avatar of Melandru
Aura of Thorns
Vital Boon
Signet of Pious Light [in more difficult areas]
Res Sig [playing with humans] / other

Deep wounds- check. Cripple – check. Great self heal – Check. Res Sig-check. Variants I have played with: Sub out Heart of Fury for either Mystic Regen (because its such a great skill), or Pious Haste.

The Weird Derv-Mage build:
D/Me

Mysticism 9 or 12
Wind 12+
Earth 8
Rest in Inspiration

Wear a sword and shield.

Mystic Twister
Mystic Healing
Dwayna’s Touch
Mantra of Recal
Aura of Thorns
Vital Boon
Zealous Renewal
Res Sig OR Heart of Fury is in Hero’s Arena

This build probably needs tweeking. It was OK. Idea is that you heal your team, and in between heals hit 4 enemies with Mystic Twister. I played it in Heros and it seemed OK. Come to think of it, I think may be able to do Zealous Vow instead of Mantra of Recal.

Builds I will try soon:

The Zealous Derv:
Zealous Vow
Mystic Sweep
Eremite’s Attack
Heart of Fury
Mystic Regen
Mystic Vigor
Res sig or something else.

With IAS from Heart of Fury, 4 energy back each attack from Zealous Vow, you can go into healing high-damage berserk scythe demon form. In theory anyway.

Alternate Pvp build:
Avatar of Grenth
Mystic Sweep
Assorted healing and utility skills.

I just would like to see how effective this is against monks.
