With the new templating for shields (Inscription and +HPHandle) does this mean the end of Dual Reduction shields?

Who here has used dual reduction shields? Do you think it was smart of ANet to remove them from dropping, orthat it was a horrible, HORRIBLE mistake?

BTw, by dual reduction, I mean shields with 2 Damage Reduction modifiers.

The addition of the -5 (20%) followed by changing to physical damage only made them pretty bad. More and more I don't even like the damage reduction and would rather have +armor vs a specific damage type.

after they got changed to physical dmg reduction only dmg reduction mods are useless

Yeah, they've been nerfing our damage reduction for awhile now. So I wasn't really surprised.

The first hit to -2-2/-2-3 shields came with release of GW:F. These type of shields never drop in Cantha. (Not sure if they *still* drop in Tyria, but regardless, you won't find a canthan skin with the stats)

Concerning my opinion, the update that made the reduction apply only to physical made me stop using them.

Yeah, I recently sold mine..
People feel safer when they see extra health, that's all..
