Hybrid Healer/Bonder
Here is something that I have come up with to add a bit of flexibility when you are the only monk in a group. (PvE only) I developed this build specifically for the Last Day Dawns quest where it worked admirabley (I used Mend condition instead of rebirth). It also worked very well in for Titan Source. I have used it in 8-person teams and it seems to work fine.
I call it Hybrid H/B
You need to have at least 2 scalps with sup runes in them (Prot/Heal)
Attributes:
Healing - 14 (while wearing healing scalp)
Prot - 14 (while wearing prot scalp)
Divine - 14 (sup rune - could easily use a minor and have 12)
Skills
WoH
Dwayna's Kiss
Vigorous Spirit
Healing Touch
Blessed Signet
Life Bond
Balthazar's Spirit
Rebirth (or Hex/condition removal depending on the area)
Use a staff with 20% enchant mod for 36 second Vig Spirit
The whole point of this build is to slow down damage taken to the team so that it is easily manageable by one monk. So, you have to keep the Bonds and Vig Spirit on everyone at all times. Also, this build does not work well when the majority of the mobs will be damaging with spells and there aren't enough melee/ranged monsters to keep your energy up - for example, the Defend Denravi quest.
Basically, when you enter an area, put on your Prot Scalp and throw up Balth's on you and Bonds on your whole team. Then switch to your healing scalp. Whenever you get close to a fight, start casting Vig Spirit on your team, and yourself, in between Blessed Signets for some added healing and enchant cover. When your team starts taking damage from attacks you should be filled up on energy pretty quick so make sure everyone has VS on them and then you can use Dwayna's as you main heal (everyone should have at least 2 enchants on them). If anyone gets extremely low give them a WoH. Whenever your health starts to dip down near 60% use Healing touch.
If you are in an extremely shattery-rendy area put Balth's and Vig Spirit on those that will get to the mobs first to soak up that first round of shatters/rends/strips. You can also drop the bonds if they are causing you too much trouble and just keep it all going with VS, Dwayna's, and WoH
Variation - use Mend condition instead of dwayna's as your main heal if you are in a very conditiony area.
Word of Caution - be careful when the damage starts to slw down (when some of the monsters are dead) that you don't over-use your energy.
Let me know what you think (also, I only have prophecies and am sure there are other spells that would compliment this build well from F and NF)
