Lol, just because you dont enjoy it anymore, doesnt mean its become stale for the rest of us. I was just as upset about the farming nerfs as you obvious are, but I learned to adapt and find new places. Hell, I now make more money than I did previously.
I recommend that you take a step back, relax, and think about what you actually want.

I finished reading the whole thing, and know I'm sitting here and wondering why.
The reason that they give so many expansion packs is because they run a free game. So...no shit, ofcourse they're not going to put everything in a single package. That would be stupid business. In return for free gameplay, people buy expansion packs, and it eventually evens out with games that make you pay monthly.
Just because it isn't fun for you for because you can't break the game with previous nerfs like protective bond or relying on hordes of enemies to be senseless drones and pound into you while you hold Vengeful was Khanei, doesn't mean it isn't fun for everyone. I'm not "fooling" myself into having fun. I balance between PvP, making my PvE characters better, and some farming to fund it, as opposed to spending a god-forsaken number of hours farming the same enemies over and over again. That's what makes the game boring.

Ok, to make money I think that we need to find places to farm those new blue runes.
They are priced well enough in the Rune Merchants to make it worth our while. They are also blue so I'm thinkin that they should drop from below lvl 20 monsters. So if u know where to find them pls post. Could u also post where they are not, eg If u have farmed vermin post NF and havnt gotten any then say so.
I cant find the blue ones, but I do know where to farm the new Purple 1's. I have gotten quite a few of each type from the Outcast race in the Jade sea, in factions. Unfortunely they arent worth much. The also drop random gold runes.

I have found farming remote areas can yeild high rates of quality drops. As many greens become widely farmed the drop rate of those greens seems to decrease. Many greens that lack a well known solo build I have found while just killing them with hench while trying to cap the boss but I have never found a green in this way from a boss with a well know solo build. I would recomend finding some place uncommonly farmed which there would plenty of in NF.
Reducing the effectiveness of farming during the release of heros makes the casual gamer at a disadvantage. We now have heros we can equip and if we choose to do so we have to do so from our own wallet. Now with the effectiveness of farming reduced equiping these new heros is far out of reach for many players. Reducing drops and adding in the need for more items is a double negative economically for the casual gamer.

solo farming ghials with my monk, a staff ever 3-4 runs or so
rock shot SoJ farming = 16 rock shots per mission = 4 runs ~ 3.6k gold
solo farming melee monsters is useless IMO, because everyone does it. I farm the ice imps and pine souls and avicara outside iron mines

Ok here is my 2 cents for the NEW way to farm.
WURMS!!!!! OMG if you dont have nightfall you are missing out.
With wurms you have 3000 health, and a set number of skills so you dont have to make builds, they give them to you
by getting your adrienal up to 4 use the skills in the following order while in the wurm.
2, 3, 1, by doing this you should be able to gain 575 life back with those 3 skills.
I solo with the wurms all the time taking on small groups of monster (2-4) at one time. Also you can run away with the 66% faster stance for 10 secs.
If you want some big time easy money making spots, say hello to your friendly eating wurms in nightfall
WWhhhoooosshhhaaaaaa!!!!
/HighFive !!!

Hey all thnx for the responses....
Assumptions,... we live our lives based on assumptions, only just imagining we know lol.
While relating my experiences and thoughts, the picture is not so much of immediacy but, directions not too far down the road. Sure I may be of 2 minds about the game but over time, the greater the perspective the wider the view, I see any directions embarked upon by the publisher/developer to be heading up the road of too little too late.
I doubt the pub/dev has got any of the 'stuff' left or, has painted themselves into a "cubicle" of thinking to be really imaginative anymore, or else, worse yet, is so concerned with eeking out every last cent they are progressing far too slowly. Do you enjoy being manipulated. Maybe that is the only attention that has been paid to you so I can see that codependency being a substantial part of your gaming life.
One the one hand you can rationalize that "oh! this is just like real life changing unexpectedly.", but on the other hand it is micro managed to the point of stifling user creativity within an ever tightening paradigm of game play.
I must admit at the personal level I try to enjoy it as much as I can, and as I said before there are a variety of things I find fun and interesting:
the little window on society and the diversity of virtual social interactions can be enthralling at the best of times; the PvP, PvE, the treasure hunting; the experimenting with new weapons; skills and tactics; the messaging and talking with new friends; the audio visual delights of the environment; the little fun treats like mini pets; the sense of accomplishments and learning; observing mode; and the list goes on for sure. But the real view of my experiences is that there are starting to become more negatives than positives.
The fangurl stepping out of the car to stop traffic while proclaiming "oh! those poor businessmen aren't making any money" lol how accepting you have been brainwashed into being. Do they really need you to defend them? Do you have any thoughts of your own or are you a paid for defender. Denials dont wash with me as I have been a member of international tech sites for years now and actually know how devious businesses pretend to be innocent users lol.
There are changes invoked by natural evolution, slow progressive development or concerted effort and to be a part of life rather than just sliding through it ya gotta stand up and do something.

hmm? whos leaving, can i have their stuff too?
Common seriously people, a Farmers Unite thread to complie all locations of farming and builds in the farming subsection of a popular fansite forums....
Any developer with half a brain dont need to look far to see which are the areas/skills that needs to be "adjusted" but having said that, it doesnt leave us much room to share information either...
