Um you might rethink that Brutal Mauling trigger chants from paragon (it counts as an attack skill).

If memory serves the Hippo was removed from the final release of Nightfall.

There really is no 'best' they're just different skins. They all attack at the same speed (save for the Bear which attacks slower...) though some inflict piercing damage while other inflict slashing. It's personal pref.

My pet diddn't evolve and he only does 8 damage even with a high beast master level. >_<
