The Nordic Warrior
i am thinking of making a warrior that resembles one of the bronze or nordic era....so i want to get peoples opinions on armor looks, weapons, and skills. I was thinking of making it a pure W/? build, but i am starting to sway towards W/R...any ideas?
Was thinking Ascalon armor with no shield and a flamberge....i would stick strickly to the Shiverpeak mountains and weird crap like that (simply because i am bored and already have another warrior)

I know about a lot of Norse history and it would be hard to make a Warrior back then. They really didn't wear much armour only in certian locations and if you were rich they could get chainmail made up for them although vastly different from GW.The Rich Warriors used swords as they were probably best swords ever made can't replicate them even today and axes were good it all depends on the God you woreshipped those who chose Tyr it was the sword and with Thor it was the hammer.
There were those that used spears and archers and Leather was mostly for armour they used boots guantlets a few other areas and the sword and axe Warrior always use shield around one it would be a wooden buckler in GW terms They wore pants and tunic as I said above unless you were rich you could afford chainmail.I would use ringmail or chain for armour with and axe and shield. It depends on how wealthy you want this Warrior.

Norse Warriors didn't use pets but they did value wolfs.

I was thinking EXACTLY the SAME yesterday!!!!!
I chose: Ulfarr the Huskarl (rich, king's guard)
-Canthan Chain Mail (max tyrian chainmail skin)
-Collector's Wooden Buckler
-Crafter's long sword from droks (or axe) since we dont have spears yet (which was their main weapon as far as I know)
- W/R, with a pet wolf named Odin
I know only very little about norse history, if anyone can correct me, that would be great.

Isn't that pet's name kind of insulting?

Best to change your wolfs name and most that went travelled stated settlements there as well. Those that stayed were just Norse Warriors.I have Norse in me and I prefer not to have a great Norse God haveing wolf named after him being Odin.

Avoid helms with horns. Despite the popular image, no viking helm has ever had horns. Ever. They didn't break off during excavation, they didn't wear away, they were never there.

I knew that already-I know viking reenactors, but thanks for pointing it out anyway, as a LOT of people don't know this.
