Default A bug in Obsidian Flesh?

ok i have cheacked this myself and anyone is welcome to try it themselves if they like,..now the 2 spells i tested were Spell breaker and obsidian flesh both "basically" say that the target of the spell cannot be a target of enemy spell,...HOW EVER while playing i noticed that if i cast a spell eg rodgorts invocation on an enemy and while i was casting it that enemy cast obsidian flesh, my spell still got past it, now normally i would not be worried but when i tried this with spell breaker if they target cast spell breaker while i was finishing casting my spell my failed due to it now does anyone know if this is a bug or is it meant to be like this?

No they can't, unless it's an AoE hex targeted at someone else. Otherwise, Obsidian Flesh blocks hexes just like any other spell.

@ the OP: Obsidian Flesh and Spell Breaker are fundamentally different.
  • Obsidian Flesh prevents you from being the target of enemy spells. If someone tries to target you with a spell, they'll get an error message and won't be able to cast at all. Should your Ob Flesh activate while an enemy's in midcast, their spell will fail when it finishes casting.
  • Spell Breaker allows you to be targeted, but all enemy spells used against you fail. If someone tries to target you with a spell, they'll spend the time and energy to cast it but fail when it finishes casting.

However, in your case with Mark of Rodgort and Obsidian Flesh, if the enemy began casting Ob Flesh while you were casting Mark, then your Mark should've gone off before the enemy's Obsidian Flesh did.

Hi

Hmm, might have changed, but i remmeber taking an obsidian flesh ele out against the hydras in perdition rock, and the activation of obsid flesh causing the hydras pre targeted meteor shower to fail.

this was a while ago though, and it would be interesting to see if they ahve changed it.

I have casted many spells against those who have Obsidian Flesh or Spellbreaker.

As long as you finish casting before they do, your spell will work, but if they finish their spells before you, then your spells will fail.

Skills work through them (vampiric bite/touch, shock, Jagged Strike, etc.)

Shatter Enchantment will not, Grenth's Balance will not, Spiteful Spirit will not, Meteor Shower will not, etc.

I love casting SS+PB on Griffons. And if possible I'd also cast PB or Ethereal Burden (normally, never get to cast this).

So in short, Savio is correct.
