Well, I could just go farm Wardens for materials or Minos for horns. Doesn't cost a fee there. But I see what you are saying.
Still, I plan to get Ecto for my future Paragon's FoW. So I guess it'll be inevitably worthwile.

the only thing i have issues with is occasionally the aatxes dont want to cooperate with the agro limitations. They will follow me to the safe zone.lol
I have had only 1 run without an ecto. The rest yeilded 2.
I still find it so much faster going with a guildie SB monk and he takes aatxes, i take grasps, and we split on smites and cold fires for quick clearing.
All in all i luv the build. Thanks for sharing it with us. By far the fastest solo farmer avalible today.

In the long run, you'll probably get more money from this build for uw. The only thing that will screw you up is getting out of the labrynth, but once your out as long as you stay away from coldfires you'll make money, It's honestly impossible to die against the smites.

If you don't get an Ecto, you lose money (or gain very, very little)
The 1k fee makes me skeptical to try the build. If you make mistakes, it could be costly.

Just try it. You're a competent player and you'll see it's very easy. Sure you'll die a few times when you first attempt the grasps and running around the aatxe but once you've done it a few times, it's a piece of cake. Just watch Dahnel's video carefully. He shows everyone exactly how to clear the first room. After a few runs you'll be completing the full run in about 15 minutes. I've done about 30 solo runs now and I average at least 1 ecto per run over those 30 runs so I definitely think it's worth it. You get some good gold drops and chests too, so you never know what you can potentially end up with.
A little side note for everyone trying this build: Don't be afraid to tweak it to fit your needs and style of play. I see so many people get builds from the forums and fail with them, but never try to adapt the build to their style of play. Dahnel was generous enough to post a build that works very well. If it doesn't work for you, determine what's not working and substitute skills. A few have already posted Channeling for energy management. I don't think it's necessary but that's my style of play. Once you've used the build a few times and understand the basics, you'll know what skills are a "must have" and you'll also know if the remaining skills fit your style of play.

I killed all the Smites in the first area. Now what? Are there more after this point where I died trying to run past the Coldfires? BTW...This is the furthest I've ever been in UW so I don't know what is ahead. Pic is attached of where I died and can't seem to get past.
