Default Help with FoW Beach farm

I recenty started soloing the beach in FoW with my W/Me (phys res). I have no trouble with the actual beach but the problem i am having is getting to the beach through the Skales with their stupid Life Transfer.

Does anyone have any suggestions on getting to the beach consistently cause currently i make it about half the time and it is very frustrating to spend 1k and get killed running to the beach 2 minutes after u enter fow.

Thx in advance.

Why don't you post it in the FoW Spider thread.

Agreed, It is posted numerous times in that thread.

In case you don't feel like weeding through 60+ pages of info, ill give you quick summarys of how you can do it:
-Lt. Helm from Henge of Denravi(cuts hex time)
-Take your -HP runes off, and replace with other pieces of armor
-Sprint out of the aggro, not into the aggro
-Learn the patrols and watch the spawn points, find a place where you are able to wait and heal up before you aggro another mob. 2 scale mobs are instant death.
- Pull any dryders out with a longbow class bow. This prevents you from getting wastels worry on you and making you take 60+ dmg, drastically increasing your chances of living.

I had the same problem as you until I the man himself showed me the ways of the spider farmer.

ty for posting that man and not saying, "post in the spider thread" because in case u didnt notice Mist, the search button doesnt always work. Anyway I will get the Lt helm and that should be enough to get me there way more often. Thx again.

Well, let me say that you CAN heal through Life Transfer with Healing Sig. I have done it more then once. The killer is Wastrel's Worry if you happen to aggro a Dryder too. The Dryders's and Driftwood's have definite patrol patterns. The First 2 groups of driftwoods patrol in a '+' pattern and the second an 'x' pattern. The usual place I stop to fight the Driftwoods is flush against the wall where the up/down part of the patrol comes on their 'up' path. Watch the Skales closely. They have no definite pattern. However, the stationary groups always stay stationary and will not chase you when you sprint away. Ever. Lieutenant Hel is bad news when fighting the Dryders. you DEFINIETLY don't want Wastrel's ending sooner!

I use this build:

Glads Armor

Zealous Flamberge (stance) of Defense
-2/-3 Shield
Geoffers Bulwark (spiders only)
Brute +19% Hexed or Shelter (+6)

Superior Sword, Tactics, Vigor, Absorption
Minor Strength

Tactics at 16 (Helm)
Sword at 15
Strength gets the leftovers

Standing Slash
Silverwing Slash
Galrath Slash
Sun and Moon Slash
Dragon Slash
Healing Signet
Pyhsical Resistance
Sprint

Pretty much it. I don't use the Lieutenant's Helm. Just don't let Physical Resistance drop when fighting Spiders. Healing sing when you get below 200 HP's. At 16 tactics, it heals for 159.

I think the real key to this build and run is NOT PANICING when you see the degen. You aren't going to die right away. Keep your cool and you'll be fine.

Works like a charm. I've failed to get through only once when I wandered around too long and the Shadow patrols came back and killed me.
I do not attack the Dryders on the way, only the Driftwoods.

There are usually two safe spots. One is right after you kill the first 3 Driftwoods and go down to the left. Sprint to shake the Scales off you and hug the wall.
To get to the second spot you need to keep hugging the wall, and about half the way to the cave enterance you'll stand in the right place. Note that you may find one Dryder wandering in there, kill it.

I use Sskai's Sword and an Exalted Aegis (Tactics req.), and this bring my health up to 581. (Major Vigor, Superior Absorption, minor Tactics and minor Strength).

When I get to the cave enterance or when I fight the driftwoods I simply change my armor set and fight them (Knight's armor is not a must, but highly recommended. I once forgot it in the storage and believe me, fightning with Glad's armor is a real pain in the butt because you need to heal all the time. If you just think about using Healing Signet without "Shields Up!", you'll get owned in no time).
There might be a few scales looking for fresh meat around the enterance, just watch your aggro bubble and learn where they get and where is safe.

P.S.
It's really fun to get your Dragon Slash furious two times in a row.

you mean dragon slash + furious = about 10 adrenaline? sound fun never happened to me so far.

you can fight with gladiator armor against a bunch of 15 spiders at once as long as you have Grognars defender or something like that with -2dmg in stance.

I have tried to kill the skales (after finishing the run) i can heal through the degeneration but they still do some dmg with their attackts, 10 - 20 with each hit or so i think. I never managed to kill them. My healing signet heals 130hp maybe this is not enough.
