Or you want something like this?
This time it is based on deadly art skills.
A/*
Critical strikes: 14 ( 10+1+3)
Deadly arts:12 (11+1)
Shadow arts:12 (9+3)
Build:
Iron Palm-Entangling Asp-Black Lotus Strike-Twisting fangs-Way of Perfection-Shadow Refuge-Mirrored Stance-Siphon Strenght.
You need superior rune of vigorous( +50 health) and +5 energy dagger
I play this build for AB and PvP,it is not for PvE.
You can change some of this skills for Ressurect
How to use?
Well, this is for 1 vs 1,you cant attack 2 at same time!!
Use Siphon strenght and Way of perfection for the beggining.Mirrored stance can be very usefull, that is funny skill here.
After that 2 skills, begin with your combo--I think you will not kill target, but he will have good degen....than if you need you can "run" away..if he/she use some running skill,he/she use Stance, but he have Mirrored Stance hex on him/her so you start run a long with him.
Well,that is it!

Yours is advanced.
He wants a normal build with decent dagger mastery. More straightforward.

If you're thinking PvE, i would recommend the elite Flashing Blades. You're still NOT a tanker, but it greatly reduces the amount of damage you take. If you're unsure and afraid to die too many times and get hounded by your teammates, bring Return or shadow of haste and a cancel stance.
I often try to squeeze in this little combination in any PvE skill build i make. Give or take a few skills, but still based on this.
Critical Strikes: At least 13 (IMO is the MINIMUM an assassin should have his crit at)
Dagger Mastery: At least 14
First Combo:
Unsuspecting Strike -> Wild Strike -> Death Blossom
Second Combo (4 secs later):
Unsuspecting Strike -> Wild Strike -> Blades of Steel
You basically keep repeating the whole thing again and again. Decent damage, the armor-ignoring death blossom will help with big warrior/melee mobs (Remember, you're NOT the tank), and after the skill balance update, Unsuspecting Strike's attack is boosted quite heavily. Wild Strike because most PvE mobs don't use stances all that much, it deals decent damage, and is fast to recharge.
Enjoy.

or something like...
unsuspecting strike
wild strike
blades of steel
critical strike
critical eye
dark escape
shadow refuge
rez signet
before battle, have henchies or tank aggro. pick a target but do not auto attack it [you just run to it]. while starting to run, use dark escape so if ever someone hits you, you take half the damage because you are not attacking plus you get to your target faster. as you close in, hit critical eye.
when you engage, alternate between unsuspecting strike > wild strike > death blossom and unsuspecting strike > wild strike > critical strike. both these combos recharge real fast and are easy on the energy pool. crit strike helps with energy management since both your hits will be critical hits, netting you 4 energy each, for a total of 8 energy [at 13 CS]. take note that they reduced the cost of crit strike, so it's a dual that's more than free, it actually nets you energy!
of course, when you're blinded, hit shadow refuge and dakr escape out of there. or hit dark escape, run back to your monk, hit shadow refuge for heal, then as it runs out, auto attack an enemy to get the extra boost in healing.
no elites, of course, since you wanted a very simple build. the others who posted have good builds as well that you should try out. good luck!
*i posted the attrib points for critical strikes only because if i posted all the attribute points, that would be spoonfeeding too much.
