Gust of Healing
Well, I posted this over in my "New Monk Skills" thread over in the Nightfall subforum. (I seem to have gotten lucky and logged in at the right time before the skills were taken out of the priests)
But here goes again:
How bad will it get nerfed?
Discuss.

Well, let's wait to see it in actual use, but still I guess it will be nerfed some way.
Right now single monk can dispatch whole loads of pressure with that.

Under 80% is just too much, maybe lowering that, or raising cost to 15? As it is now, it's indeed too powerfull. Who needs e/mos running, since you can have a mo/a doing just fine.

If you see other new elite, this is just fine.
Such as, Revitalize....
Really crazy elite enchantment
Moreover,
raise en cost to 15? Are you kidding?
Heal Party also cost 15...lol, and why we have to use this conditional elite?

It's not THAT good, especially if that 85 is on a high Healing Prayer level.

It's 85 health at 16 Healing Prayers. How can you even compare it to heal party on an emo runner, not to mention you'd lose ether prodigy as well. For pve though, it could come in handy. In general, it looks like anet is finally addressing the deficiencies of the healing line, which Factions did absolutely nothing for.

Although I think it could definitely become common in HA, considering the metagame.

Honestly Im not so impressed with this.
Remember if the party isn't below 80% (or everyone who isn't) this skill does absolutely nothing.
So it really isn't a game breaker. However as Zuranthium mentioned this could be VERY good in a place like HA.
Still overall I don't think its anything to write home about. In PVE I find its nearly useless. I'd rather have Heal party as a non elite and run WoH anytime.
No if you want to talk about the nerf bat Revitalize is gonna get BASHED.
That skill is crazy.

As far I believe, this spell will not give the bonus of Divine Favor to anyone but the caster.
This spell is not the best, as it heals on a conditional basis, it doesn't remove hexes, conditions and 80% of a 55 monk is 44 health. What good is 85 or something of health to a Sac Necro? 450 health X 10% = 45. Since it requires 20% health reduction, a necro that loses 20% = 90 health loss, which means the necro is still 10 life in the hole (440 health).
Anyway, if it does get nerfed, the description of "in the area" may be it. Recharge time increase, maybe.
Nothing major.

Um still, health below 80% is VERY conditional guys, for an elite
I think it's fine

It doesn't heal for nearly as much as you think it does. I thought this would be nutty too, but the fact is it misses people a lot of the time, and can never top people off - one of the popular uses of the off-monk Heal Party. In emergency situations, Gust is strong, as it's a cheap, fast, global heal. But for general usage, it's really not that impressive.
Revitalize is fun stuff. I'm not sure if it's broken but it's really strong. Remember that you are sitting on 3 pips instead of four when using the thing, and that the healing bonus from it does not affect your Divine Favor bonus, so that overall, using 5 energy heals, you're only gaining in healing efficiency through your emanagement. Also on anything that doesn't heal directly you're only gaining in speed, and otherwise are still stuck on the 3 pips. That said the super fast heals are awesome, and combined with secondary emanagement the guy can flow. I expect people to be running the skill quite a bit in HA, and it should see some play, if just to test it, in GvG as well.
Peace,
-CxE

Below 80% is usually down 100 hp from max. It will keep from getting completely rolled from degen pressure teams. Problem who are you going to put this on?
If you put it on the flag runner (e/mo) you'll lose ether prodigy. Since its spammable if you put it in the main party its going to be diversion/interrupt bait.
As for revitalize, I've been using it for awhile now. I don't think its worth it. The prot line still prevents more dmg than they healing line can heal. You'll be spamming heals trying to keep up. You have no elite energy management so you must take 3 skills for emanagement.
The 50% more is not correct. I was using it at 13 healing and 10 divine. Orison is a 60 heal but was healing for 80. It should have been 90. You can get the same affect from holy haste for the faster cast and its non elite.

It sounds like it is weak on the low end, only healing 5 with 0 skill. So thats 5 healing per skill point. Any non Monk primary is going to be stuck at 12 max, so only a 65 point heal. Seems like it needs a heavy invenstment into Healing to be worthwhile at all.

Agreed, Id rather keep the prodigy E/Mo... much more flexible.
The elite monk skills which popped out at me (and its monk skills which Ive been most impressed with) are:
DF:
Revitalize
Heal:
Glimmer of Light
Prot:
Divert Hexes
Zealous Benediction
Smite:
Defender's Zeal (for PvE, mostly)
I really feel like Smite got a huge buff... I can hardly imagine the crazy energy management youll be able to pull off with Defender's Zeal.
