D/A 40 seconds of Invincibility Theory
Ok me and a guild friend were discussing possible dervish builds and we came upon a possibility to combine the dervish "extend enchantments" skill with the assassin "Shadow Form" skill.
The Build so Far:
D/A InvinciSin
12+3+1 Mysticism
12 Shadow Arts
Weapon with Enchantments last 20% longer mod
Skills:
Extend Enchantments
Shadow Form
Faithful Intervention
Watchful intervention
Rest is optional.
Extend Enchantments at 16 Mysticism will last 21 seconds, or 25 seconds with a 20% enchantment upgrade. Coupled with it's own effect that lasts 50 seconds. Nice.
Shadow form with an enchantment mod will last for 20 seconds. Coupled with EE that will last a nice 40 seconds. In which time you are near invulnerable.
But then the problem arose, most battles last longer than 40 seconds, and the 20 second downtime between shadow form could kill you.
So we added 2 more mystisism skills. Faithful Intervention and Watchful Intervention. If cast just before shadow form expired, their total healing would give you 368 health back. Enough to bring you to a safe point where a monk can heal you.
I would like to hear any comments or ideas/possibilities to further this build. I know it isnt entirely practical, but to me it has potential...

Interventions probably dont trigger... likely that Shadow Form forces sacrifice, not actual damage - which Intervention probably requires.

the problem (i realize its not finished yet) is that there is no weapon or offhand or anything that the build can use. What is your plan for actually helping your teammates rather than just staying alive in vain..?
you will be a good tank, but otherwise- what is your plan for actually DOING anything?

Yes, good, but you won't deal any damage, a regular dervish is better than this.

a/mes make rocking runners.
good luck doing it with d/a tho
and no the enchantments don't trigger, the behave identical to illusion of weakness which doesn't trigger on shadow forms ending.

try heart of shadow for your heal at the end of shadow form instead, that will get you out of the danger zone, then faithful can take care of anymore if an enemy notices your low health

Ok you have 3 choices.
1.) Make this a runner by spamming dash and using I think it's called Whilring Charge (makes you attack and move fast if you have enchant on) and since Shadow Form is gonna be up for 40+ seconds u should have an enchant.
2.)This becomes a AB build. You would make the rest of the skills (- FI and WI) area skills (ex. Death Blossom) and try and do all the damage you can, then use return (that crips), Shadow Meld (back to where you cast it far away), Return (doesn't crip), or any other skills you can think of.
3.)Add Shadow of Distress.

Deadly paradox shortens recharge by 50% so SF recharges in 30 sec.
Also Extend Enchantments lasts more than 20 sec and has 20 sec recharge. If you recast it while still under its effect, I don't think it counts as ending.
So you could keep shadow form up all the time. Just enter Deadly Paradox stance, cast extend enchantments, cast SF. Keep recasting extend enchantments. And each 30 sec enter Deadly Paradox stance and cast Shadow Form.
It all depends on Extend Enchantments mechanism.

Well If I Interpret what you say right, you are saying that you can only use the 20% enchant, but you can also switch wpns after you just cast then switch to a weapon in which the other skills you have are for. Tell me if I'm wrong in what i thought you meant.
