Default New Farmer question

Hi guys,

Well, I finally got the last few skills I see listed in so many farming builds with the aim of earning a little cash (so I can afford a 55 monk ) and decided to start with Trolls at Droks purely because there are so many video's and guides showing how to do it.

Problem is, I'm dieing pretty quickly - I've tried a few different builds and have another 4 guide builds to try out tonight. The only thing I've noticed is that all the guides were written about April/May this year, so has anything changed with warrior skills since then? Or is this just a case of practice makes perfect?

Ok any farming build good or not you will have to adjust to your own liking and I would try your build in a little easier spot to get used to casting and recasting you skills.

The trolls are reasonable easy but you have to watch it if you miss one skill you die it is just how it goes. Been farming for a while now and well trolls aren't worth it I think you bget betetr drops at some of the others like hydra's.

Best results lately I have been having with Rit VwK build to be honest, versatile and pretty forgiving unlike some of the 55 HP builds my 55 monk and necro haven't played for a while now

If you want an easy farm go ettin farming by the way with a bit of luck you get your runes dropped for you

Simple W/Mo build should do the trick. And if you stick with it 30 to 40k in an hour or 2 is still doable (if you get a sup vigor otherwise about 5 to 10k).

But in general once again solo farming is about getting your build taht works for you use the guides as a base to work from but do it inyour own way that you know that works for you.

Most people that have made builds/guides here will have in most cases spend hours of dying to find the best way to get it done, and they will most likely still die on a run they post.

Well that's good to hear (that other people had to practice... not the them dieing part ) I was kinda expecting to hear that, but it's always better if someone else confirms it... so, start small and work my way up.

On a side note, I was trying the first time this morning (only got a few tries in) and about 2/3 of the times I put up Glad Defence and although they were attacking me they took no damage and I didn't block any incoming attacks. Is there some trick to using it or is it bugged in some recent patch?

well glads defence only blocks 75% of all attacks so that might account for the miss/hit rate, but other then that I guess unlucky .....

With all thoose skills it is a bit of a hit and miss usage that's where practice comes in learning to counter when it doesn't work out the way you want etc. but if I recall right thy also use attacks that can not be blocked/evaded and wthat would account for the hits you endure aswell.

I personally do not like solo'ing to much with my warrior besides ettins and such but that is personal taste.
