Ritual Lords
well... anet has made the ritual lord just as effective as the assasin was BEFORE this new update...
Quote:
Boon of Creation: reduced Energy gained to 1..6.
Ritual Lord: decreased Spirit recharge to 15..60%
Shelter: increased Energy cost to 25, increased damage taken to 75..45, decreased recharge time to 45 seconds
Soothing: increased Energy to 25, decreased level to 1..8
|
it seems like anet has been at new characters' throats since the beginning. now both faction characters are only good if you cant find anyone else...

Why are you moaning?
Rit Lord, was the most boring skill ever made. And overused, i'm glad they nerfed it, and buffed the other attribute lines.

when you look at it, they really didnt. the channeling is a liuttle better because of faster recharge and a FEW have lower energy cost but most of the skills still have high energy cost and channeling still has the same problem. also restoration was nerfed if anything since recuperation was nerfed a bit and that is the only rest skill i saw that got changed. they were bad enuf at healing as it was... also spawning is now really only good if you want minions wil alot of health as a MM but MM are better as N/? anyways.

this thread is dumb.
almost every assassin change was a buff
likewise so was the ritualist
If you cant see that, then you are really missing out.
Rit Lord sucks anyways... GODLY IS PRESERVERENCE
judging from you posts- If you had even PLAYED a healing rit (which I doubt) you were doing it all wrong.

They didn't nerf Ritual Lord. They nerfed Shelter, the build's most prominent skill.
If all the other changes went through and Shelter didn't have that god-awful Energy cost, Ritual Lords would be unchanged.

I guess people can find something negative in every update.

Aren't you smart... not.
Fair enough, Shelter was a little overused and overpowered... but this is completely over the top. Nerfing Ritual Lord AND increasing the energy cost to 25 was just uncalled for.
Ps. Preservance sucks.

Not only that, they nerfed Boon of Creation as well, but that not significant, the most significant nerf is shelter, With 16 in Spawning and Ritual Lord, it will recharge in 16 sec. The energy of Shelter prevent it from spamming, it can still be use in RA, but i doubt it can be use in mission now.

Preservation does not suck if you use it in the right context...
I could care less about rit lords going down. They became fairly obsolete against the current metagame seeing as how you took all offense away from a slot to get minimal protection from taintway, which left them as a fame farming build for Noobz in HoH. Dont we have enough of those already?

I think the only reason I am irritated is because I spent so much getting 15k kurzick armor and black dye to pimp out my Rit, just to have this nerf.
I can probably make him into a new build, but I would have to hunt for new skills.

THank god they nerfed the common Rit Lord build, I dont know how some people can live with such a boring build.
Now, avert your eyes back to chanelling... you traitors!

I agree! I`ve actually gotten a couple Glad Points with my Rit Healer BEFORE the nerf. Now it is so much more effective and I`m smiling

Its sad tho that GvG will not regognize this. Im contemplateing leaving my guild just because of this. They won't alow me to use my rit now. I was humiliated by having to play a flashbot in a GVG scirmish this afternoon.
resto rits are looking alot better. tehy still need to gain teh diveristy a monk has + some E managment. If this is done they will actually be ale to play in higher end PvP. As of right now tho Rits will no longer we seen in GvG.

Bah...
The changes to the Rit are definitely going to trim back the number of rit lords out there. Still, my template suffered when they nerfed recuperation.
Recuperation: recharge went from 60 to 45 = good! Energy went from 15 to 25, awful!
By lowering the recharge times on spirits, suddenly Rit lord doesn't seem as required. Preservation looks much more intruging now.

Shelter was disgustingly nerfed, but all in all it was probably for the better. Too many rits out there were way too cookie cutter and reliant on the usual spirit spamming build.

Rit lords's was reduced but was so was just about every spirit's recharge. Its basicly the same.
The big change was energy cost. I can tell you as a war vs soothing and shelter its a frustrating battle. You'll most likely never get charged before a blackout hits you.
Just the existance of a Rit in most GvGs would push it to VoD. Thank god its changed but offensive spirits got a huge boost. I expect to see a hybrid Rit lord.

Ritual Lords are nerfed a little bit, but Energizing Wind fixed it already.
