Even thought the Totem Axe isn't worth that much anymore, I made a build for farming it pretty fast.

Skills:

Cyclone Axe
Executioner's Strike
Triple Chop [Elite]
Healing Signet
Bonettis Defense
Healing Breeze
Sprint
Medning

Weapons:
Set1. Zealous +15% Stance Axe , -2/+45 while enchanted Shield, such as Malinon's Shield

Set2. A non Zealous Weapon (while regening) + -2/+45 while enchanted Shield (while running)

Attributes.
Axe Mastery 12+1+3
Healing Prayers 9
Tactics 8+1
Rest in Strenght

Armor: Gladiator's Armor with +1 Axe Mastery helmet.

Pretty much like any Totem axe farming build, start running from
Ventari's Refuge -> Red Boog -> The Falls
Use Mending while running.
Run to the part where all the Behemoths are. With this build you can also kill the Life Pods, which make it easier killing the Behemoths, so start with killing the Pods. Spam Cyclone&Triple Chop till they are dead, then just kill the Behemoth. This build can't kill Wid Riders so beware. But you can kill those necros walking around. While fighting against Life Pods Watch out for Holy Wrath. Cyclone Axe and Triple Chop can make it devastating. Use Healing Signet and Healing Breeze when needed. If there's more then 1 Behemoth on the same place, its good to use Bonettis sometimes so they dont kill you.
Run from Behemoth to Behemoth 'til you get your axe. I usually get about 2+ Totem Axes per run.

compared to any other totem axe build i have read, this is probably the most ineffective.
the use or triple chop and cyclone axe against holy wrath is completely idiotic, when you could just focus on one target using swords, and kill it very quickly, and not maiming yourself in the process.

also, not being to kill the wind riders is a disability that a totem axe farmer doesnt need to have >.> most builds can take the wind riders, so why would someones pick this build, or one thats more effective and just as easy to use?

You can make a good axe build to fam the Totem Axe, but Cyclone+Triple Chop is not advisable. Also, Bonetti's Defense is a prophecies skill.

I LOVE axe builds and Tripple Chop is the best Warrior elite in my opinion, but it's only really good when fighting a lot of mobs.

So for this I would probably go with a sword build, if you wanna do it with an axe I would suggest something like:

Eviscerate {E}
Executioners Strike
Furious Axe
"For Great Justice" (since this is mainly adre. skills)

But then again, whatever does the job is fine.

Off course theres gunna be prophecy skills in it you cant farm totem axes in factions....
