hi, i took a look at the build that Racthoh
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=77852 made with swords....and i tweaked my way into a very effective Axe build that lets u have up to 6 spiders at a time
However for begginers i would reccomend doing 3 then 6.
DO NOT KILL/ATTACK SKALES
skills:
Cleave
Cyclone Axe
Watch Yourself
Frenzy
Shields Up
Doylak signet
HEaling Signet
Sprint
Attributes
Strength (12) 11+1
Axe Mastery (13) 10+3
Tactics (12) +1 (minor rune) +1 (helm)
**i use the collectors Crimson Carapace Shield + a 15^50% zealous axe with armor+7 vs Physical attacks (a stance axe would work just as good).
*first of all i know many of u would say --Frenzy?? ur crazy...but then again i farm it with 6 spiders on me with Frenzy up all the time and recieve 0-2dmg
(2s are rare but do happen and u have the ocasional 3-5dmg.)
*so here is how this goes:
Once u have killed off all the dryders and have armored spiders left its time to pull them back and engage them. do not use any stances untill u have pulled them back far enough, then use healing signet, sprint to them to evade the arrows and after u have started attacking activate Doylak Signet + Shields Up + Watch Yourself.
spam these skills the whole time Once that is done activate Frenzy(it is 8 seconds long and has a 4 second recharge so keep it up all the time). With Frenzy, Cleave (+27 dmg) should recharge every second...which quickly adds up to killing a spider in 10seconds or less.
Cyclone axe is there for a reason...that reason is Healing Spring. Although it is not the end of the world if a spider activates healing spring, because with frenzy and cleave i manage to keep the spider i was attacking at the same health it was before HS was activated, but the run is much slower if HS goes up.
How do u know if a spider is about to use Healing Spring? the moment an adjacent spider stops attacking it is either for Apply Poison or Healing Spring...since the chance is 50/50 i spam cyclone all the time.
This is Basicly it..if ur looking to see how to get to the cave in the 1st place
Racthoh explains that very well...so take a look at his build.
**A Complete run leaves me with 3-4 shards and alot of spider legs (almsot always more than 1000g worth)
I Will put up pictures soon
