Default Number Crunching

Has anyone actually run the numbers ever on the actual increases that you get in damage and the frequency of crits you get by raising your attributes? I've seen a scattering of posts in different places that state that there is an increase in the percentage of dual strikes when you increase dagger mastery, and that dagger mastery actually increases your crit rate by more than the same amounts in crit strikes. Just curious if anyone has numbers to back these up, or disprove them. And of course, a general idea of how they went about getting these numbers so that we can feel as though they are trust worthy.

It's by Ensign.

However, I don't know about the probability of crits; 16 weapon mastery is 23-24%, I think, but I don't know about others.

crit dmg is approximately max dmg multiplied by √2.
for daggers, (17)x√2
similarly, it is like having a max weapon dmg with a +4 weapon mastery
attribute added to your current weapon mastery.

-------

for every pt. in weapon mastery gives roughly 1.44% chance to crit.
every rank in critical strikes gives 1% chance to crit.

at rank 12 of your chosen weapon mastery, you'll get 17.4%
add 13cs, and you'll add 13%

for every 5 levels that a target is above you, your critical hit chances
are drastically cut by 50%

at 14dm(20.2%) at 13(13%) cs, you'll get 33.2% chance to crit on a target
of the same lvl. (assumed 20)

when targetting a monster in pve that is lvl 25, you'll only have 16.6% chance to crit at the same attributes.

when targetting a monster in pve that is lvl 30, you'll only have 8.3% chance to crit at the same attributes.

Press "H" and hover your mouse over each Attribute, it gives a rough explanation.

You forget that a higher weapon attribute increases the damage %, and that theres also the 35% damage modifiers on the weapon itself. So thats around 55% more damage (20% more damage i think at 16 weapon mastery, can't be bothered to wiki atm) and thats before AL modifiers, but at 60 al its around 39 instead of 24, which you do hit against the 60al at the nameless isle, but i think the max crit there is 42 though with daggers... Making my math a guestimate

Your math is wrong.

17 x 2 does not equal 24.

2 x 7 = 14
10 x 2 = 20
2 x 17 = 34.

you have problem reading math symble
(17)x√2= 24,
√2 is square root of 2 which is approximately 1.4
