Sure, it wasn't a balanced skill. Especially for a signet. You know, at first GW skills looked a lot like Magic the Gathering cards : extreme. Some kind of "you destroy the target"... there're much more subtle as they are now. You need combinations now, not just one single uber skill.

Oh this one is sounding good Full powered fast-cast meteor shower, ether prodigy, animate flesh golem (for a bit of havoc), or even just stealing a full powered e-surge off a dom mes when you are running full illusion... This skill sounds like fun

ANet gave us the ability to steal skills. This is the next logical step in the evolution of that idea.

Just for clarification, Unnatural Signet wasnt over powered, it was *BAD*.
REALLY bad.
Btw, I had heard that one of the french fansites had a skill listing of Nightfall, which include Disappear.
Its unsubstantiated.

No no, it wasnt a 2 minute recast.
It took like 6 seconds to activate, and disabled all of your skills for 2 minutes.

I suspect it would be elite. or at least have a high recharge. It would overpower a lot of builds, L 16 spellbreaker, Ether Prod, SS, Rit lord etc, the list goes on. I suspect it may be limited to the next 'mesmer' spell you use in the final release tho.
One to try out for sure tho. If it is as described it's getting welded to my skill bar

Well, they do talk about stealing other prof skills and then using them but then you can always equip some random skill on your bar and SoIllusion it. I have a feeling it will be elite because of the ease of fast recharging sigs and the implications of being able to spam other prof prime att elites.

nope, im putting my money based on my interest in the concept of illusion magic. I'll bet all of you, if it's in the illusion line, it's going to have some very very weird drawback, it's not necessarily going to be something obvious like additional recharge time...
All of the illusion skills are used to toy with a person's perception. Conjure Phantasm/Nightmare is effectively making your target psycho, Ineptitude turns you into a dumbass :P, Distortion and the Visage skills present a false image, the same thing will apply with this new skill, it will play on that targets perception... hell, it might even have the same drawbacks as Illusion of Pain/Haste :P.
EDIT: Oh I see now, the statement from the OP states that you can combo this skill with Arcane Thievery and the like... seems... ooo....

Disappear sounds heavenly. Your about to get spiked.... enemy team are like spike in 3....2... omg he's disappeared. I would love to have this skill even if was an elite and cost 15 energy. But only if it can be linked to Domination
Signet of Illusions sounds nice but slightly overpowered so I'm sure it will come with some nasty drawback like, all your skills are disabled until VoD. This signet causes triple exhaustion and gives you 60% DP lol then it would be so pro

Well, the whole plays with perception thing about Illusion magic is overhyped. It's basically a bunch of War Hate and degen hexes. There is only a few skills that actually stick to the idea of Illusion- Phantom Pain, Illusion of Pain, Illusion of Weakness, and Illusion of Haste. I guess you can toss Etheal burden in there as well. But the rest is just mesmerizing names for things that actually dont create anything that "plays with perception." :-)

I wonder if the level at which you can use the stolen spell will be based on your attribute placement in illusion or the stealee's? I think it would be better, and more logical coding wise to make it based on your level of illusion, transfer that number to the appropriate level for the line that the stolen spell is in.

I thought the Beta version of Unnatural sig was something like this:
Quote:
Description: Remove the most recent "Nature Ritual." All of your skills are disabled for 60-36 seconds.
Energy Cost: 0
Casting Time: 15 seconds
Recharge Time: 75 seconds

Oh I love the skins! Combust Phantasm looks awesome. I wonder what it was (maybe will be) like. Confusion looks like a version of Ineptitude skinwise. Disappear looks cool, too, I love The Eye. :-) There is quite some skills in there. Mantra of Hex Reflection/Hex Shattering (I guess that ended up being Hex Breaker). Mimic...
Does anyone know if they mentioned any skill names in the recent article released in PC World, PC Gamer or whatever the name was. >.<

Wow. All the 'Mantra's' used to be maintained enchantments. I sometimes wish Mantra of Inscriptions still were...but only sometimes!
