I want to know where I get other skills in the PreSearing before I go to Old Ascalon. Please tell me who I need to see and what skills i can get. Thx.

why not duel??? you don't lose anything, it is not like you have to put skills into the secondary prof.

1 you will have to take a 2nd profession to get out of the tutorial

2 you need to see Aiden in the wizards folly area to get ignite arrows

edit

Trainer: Aidan
Location Wizard's Folly
Quest Name: Unnatural Growths
Directions: From Foibles Fair head down the road to Lakeside County till you see a forest.
Head south east till you come to a river, cross the river and find Aidan on the south east edge of the fishing village.
Summary: Go to the falls to the west. Destroy the Aloe Husks until you find an Aloe Root.
Bring the Aloe Root back to Aidan.

Reward: 250 XP

Skills Given: Ignite Arrows, Dual Shot

Yeah...I thought that...but if I dual class, I would want to get the skills and put points to attributes...I guess I could do that...But what should I dual with? Any suggestions?

i personally like the ranger/mesmer route; drain their life with mesmer skills whilst burning them with arrows or beating them with pets

anyway you do have to get a secondary profession but you don't have to put points towards them. So you could take a mesmer or whatever, but the only difference would be your name. You can still put all your attribute points into ranger attributes, and also you open up extra profession-specific quest which, of course, give extra exp!

Yeah very true...I'm still not quite sure which secondary proffesion to choose...I've heard tons of good things about a Ra/Mes like you said, but also I've heard how bad a Ra/War or vica-versa...Is this true?

I've also heard about Ra/Mo, but that one I've tried, and dislike. I'm thinking on Ra/Ele, but not sure which element to choose.

To be honest, there's no 'Bad Choice.' R/W would rock if you played it right. It's all about using the skills your combination gives you to your benefit. With the ranger skills you could have things down to half their health before they get to you, switch to a sword and use warrior skills like Frenzy and gash to take out a mob extra quick, not to mention your pet is dealing damage the whole time.

There are 150 skills per profession (if I'm not mistaken), while people feel that 8-12 are the most important right now, they will also become the most defended against once someone comes up with a good defense for what's working now. It's all rock/paper/scissors. Nothing is perfect.

In my opinion, the person who comes up with the most wacky combination of profession/skills will have an advantage in the future because people will build their character to defend specific things (W/M at the moment) and that will leave them vulnerable to less conventional setups.
