I realy dont want to start my necro over again for the 3rd time. So i was wondering how or why or what would be the best sub class for necro.

i dont want monk!

if ya could give a brief description of its uses's as a sub class that be great thz!

Ranger maybe. If you pet dies, you will be able to find a use for it anyway

I had the most fun playing a necro/ranger. Running around with a pet and bow. simple, but very fun. Also I agree with Arekthorn, necro/warriors are fun too, but it lacks the companionship

Monk. For reasons gone over a dozen times before - you need crazy amounts of Death to be viable, you want to hang out in the back, and the damage classes do not work well for various reasons - Warrior can't tank, Elementalist really wants runes, and Ranger skills are awful without Expertise. That's everything but Mesmer, and then you're a Necro/Mesmer.

Well then you're at a bit of a standstill, aren't you? You want the best subclass for a Necro, but you don't want to play that subclass. Either bite the Monk secondary or play an inferior one.

I actually quite enjoy the Elementalist subclass for the Necromancer. Its been workign quit well... I use "aura of Resotration" and just blow them with a ton of vampiric spells. And while those are rechargeing I use flare. I also start off the fun with a firestorm usually. I'm thinking of expanding into some lighting based spells with him. And also some curses.

But other then that, Monk would be the best subclass... but you don't like that :P

i use a necro/ranger for the pet, i just drain life and make em bleed with sever artery at the same time and most stuff cant even heal in time to stop it, and with all the life i am draining i usually only die if i am going it alone
