Default War/Mo build, would this work?

Ok I have a war/mo that is only lvl. 3 but i've been doing research on how to build him and I haven't seen my build mentioned at all so I was just wondering if it would work.

Note* I don't really know how many attribute points u get anything but it looks to me like u can get 3 skills up high so i'm just gunna put those.

Swordmanship
Healing Prayers
Smiting Prayer

Swordmanship:
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Final Thrust

Smiting:
Strength of Honor
Balthazar Spirit

Healing:
Mend
Live Vicariously

Anyway like I said i'm only lvl 3 so if anybody with more experience could critique this I would appreciate it. Constructive criticism only please.

what role do u wanna play in the group? do u wanna do massive damage and have a healer focus on you? or would you rather go on the conservative side of being healed while you hit/being hit, but not deal as much damage. There are multiple types of builds, and it all depends on what YOU want to do as a player in GW. The basic builds (which are on under the warrior basics thread are as follows)

----------------------------------------------------

Common builds:

PvE Tank
Warrior/Monk

Swordsmanship 12, +1 Rune, +1 Hat
Tactics 10, +1 Rune
Healing 8

Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Bonetti's Defense
Watch Yourself!
Healing Hands
Mending
Restore Life

----------------------

Tombs High-Damage Swordsman
Warrior/Monk

Swordsmanship 12, +3 Rune, +1 Hat
Strength 8, +1 Rune
Smiting 10
Healing 2

Hundred Blades
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Frenzy
Sprint
Strength of Honor
Restore Life

--------------------------

PvP Knocklock Hammer
Warrior/Monk

Hammer Mastery 12, +3 Rune, +1 Hat
Strength 9, +1 Rune
Smiting Prayers 9
Healing Prayers 3

Devastating Hammer
Heavy Blow
Crushing Blow
Mighty Blow
Frenzy
Sprint
Judge's Insight
Restore Life

-----------------------------------------------

these are some decent builds. I was actually considering taking on the highdamage on for a pve char even though it says its for a PvP. But if i did was thinking of replacing final thurst with somethign else, i just couldnt think of anything at the time and i had to go to my next class, so i didnt think much on it at the time. if you were to take on the First build listed, i would have replaced the bonetti's defense with something else, but once i again i didnt have much time to find one to replace it with. The reason i wanted to replace it was b/c you cant use any other skills when you have it one, when you have BD on, you have 75% chance of blocking melle/arrow attacks sure, and you gain 5energy for everyone you block, but it ends when you use any other skill. It is a great skill, especially if you are running low on energy. And actually the more i talk bout it, the more i like it lol.

One more thing, if you want to use a skill builder to further plan your char heres a link to one. In my opinion it is easy to use and not hard to find out. Above where it lists all the skills is where you may choose your primary/secondary class and go fromthere to build you char.

http://www.gwunderground.com/www/?action=sb&p=5&s=2

Last thing, in answer to how many skill points you get, is 200 by level 20. You can get 2 skills to lvl 12 and one to 3 (without runes or hats). or you can do 12-9-9 build, or the other 12-10-8. Those are the most common that i see. But like i said, its all in the skill builder that i have listed above.

PvE or PvP?

I'm assuming PvE.

I am playing a sword W/Mo now.

All I can add is two things.

First, neglecting strength will noticably reduce your damage output, since its the warriors PRIMARY attribute.

Second, Healing is more important than smiting when not playing with a regular party with a dedicated healer. Hench healers bite.

If your making a warrior than make one, If you want to cast smite spells then be a primary monk or lose the swordsmanship. That way your basically a casting monk with the available extra armor of the warrior. BUT, don't forget that warriors do not have the energy to support mass casting.

Finally, You cannot use all those enchants simulataneously with your available energy PIPS, two at the most, with no energy regeneration.

Hope this helps.

Not really, particularly not if you've got better sources of armor penetration (like Judge's Insight).

Legions of W/E get by without healing prayers, no reason a W/Mo needs any points in healing prayers either.

Smiting is one of the best support lines a primary warrior can invest it, you definately don't want to sacrifice swordsmanship for it. Indeed, I'd sacrifice strength before smiting, smiting is way more useful and will do much more to boost your damage output.

Actually, you can support more than two maintained enchantments with the right spells and equipment. You are pushing it, though. I'd drop Live Vicariously. Vigorous Spirit would be a better choice.

Agreed. From my experience, having a W/Mo that has healing leads to too many bad calls.

I can't even count how many times I've been partied with W/Mo's who stop fighting and heal EVERY TIME they take a hit.

Or I've heard this:

Me:"The healers gettin aggrod, protect him!"
W/Mo: "Don't worry about him, I can heal."

Grrrrrrrrrrrr.........
