Presenting "The Brick Wall"
Ok so this build would probably have no use at all other than to brag when you ctrl+click your hp... BUT...
"The Brick Wall" :: Mo/R
12+4 Protection Prayers
12 Beast Mastery
Skills Used
{Elite} Shield of Regeneration
Vital Blessing
Essence Bond
Blessed Aura
Guardian
Symbiosis
Fertile Season
Resurrect
Equipment
Full Asectic armor for the most energy. Superior Rune of Protection Prayers, Minor Runes for the rest of your skills. Use a Rune of Superior Vigor. Primary weapon you will want to use a +40% enchant axe. Secondary item will be a +45hp while enchanted item.
Now What?
Start off by casting Vital Blessing, Essence Bond, & Blessed Aura on yourself. Find a spot you want to stand and cast Symbiosis & Fertile Season. At this point in time you should have 1,376 hitpoints. Casting Guardian to reduce your chance to be hit by 52% will net you an additional 125hp from Symbiosis for the 7.8sec it lasts. Shield of Regeneration will also give you an additional 125hp for the 23.55sec it lasts. With both of those up you have 1,626 hitpoints! Some of you probably noticed reading the last sentance that SoR lasts 23.55 seconds, yes it has a refresh of 20 seconds. Now you have a constant +10 (capped) or +11 (if you have a degeneration spell on you) health regeneration.
Put another Monk in your group to spam you with enchantments and the sky is the limit on hitpoints! You could go +60hp more by using a 60hp axe instead of the 40% enchant axe... but I like the idea of a constant SoR since you need to be somewhat useful.

oh noes!!!11 spirits!!!
oops... no more spirits
desecrate...
really... you're build can't help anyone in anything, since you will have absolutely no energy. essence bond is your only energy gain (1 pip of energy ftw), and what if you arent attacked? what if eles attack you? why would they attack you when they see no change in your health bar from a 100+ damamge obsidian spike?

by my count that build has at least 16s of start up time. (casting spirits and enchantments) yea thats not good...
also, its dependent on external things like sprits and enchantments, which can easily be destroyed... more not good...
couple that with 0 ability to keep allies alive andd yup that is an amazing monk build.

1) first sentance stated that this build was for nothing more than basically ctrl+clicking your hp bar
2) in CA, most people ignore spirits
3) last I checked SoR isn't self only. true +10/11 of constant regeneration isn't going to keep someone alive if they're being trained by 3/4 of the opposing party, but to say you're completely useless in helping your allies is not true ><
And as a single member in a party it's not that good, but add some more to it.. Put in a battery necro for energy. Necro benefits from Symbiosis & Fertile Season for added health. You could definatly have fun with this in CA where 75% of the people you face are not using FOTM builds and are just normal fire eles or "paladins".
edit: and thats what makes these off the wall builds neat. random arenas you cant plan ahead for the most part. you dont know who/what your fighting, you don't know the skills they're running with. this isn't tombs where everything is FOTM so you know to bring XXXX spell and XXXX ability to counteract what 90% of those in tombs will be using.

This build is really only good for players who decide to always go for the monk first and keep attacking until it dies. If they decide to go after your allies first they should easily drop them and then progress to you. Once they get to you, drop the spirits and kill you.

seriously, once a person sees that he is doing no damage, he will just go after the spirits, who have a BIG recharge time on your part.

Sure hope no interrupt ranger starts spamming you while you setup if it really does take the time mentioned above to setup. That would suck!!
