Default Proper elite skill for Monks

Hey. I'm rather new to these forums, and I was wondering if some of you could help me out with something.

I've been playing a monk since this game came out, and I just got to Thunderhead Keep (be quiet, I haven't been playing this religiously). The point I'm trying to make here is that now I have a bunch of Elite skills available to me, and I don't know which one to pick for my soon-to-be PvP Monk. Could some of you give me some suggestions for a good Elite skill to use for PvP, so I can cap it now? Thanks.
-Lord Sturm
P.S. These are the skills I have right now:

Peace and Harmony
Word of Healing
Mark of Protection
Shield of Regen

Well most monks in PvP go /N for offering of blood.

My monk is /n already, but I'm splitting attributes right now between Protection, Healing and Divine Favor. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll keep it in mind.
But I was thinking of maybe going Aura of Faith, would that work well in PvP?

Shatter/Drain/Rend/Inspired Enchantment = Worthless if you choose to go Aura of Faith, especially with the recharge.

Lots of healing if you choose word (most common and most effective, heals like orison, costs the same, and if they are under 50% heals like heal other for the same energy.

I would try to split your attributes between DF, Healing, and if you want to use a monk elite, go /Me for channeling, inspired hex, and drain enchantment. Don't try to do too many things at once, and thtas why you should mainly stick to DF, x (healling, smiting, prot), and energy management, because believe me, you will need it.

Offering of Blood. Without it, everyone hates you.

lolz^^

just because he hates evryone without OoB doesnt mean evryone does.

that signet that gives you energy for your enchants works well if you really wanna stack them up on your teamates in pvp.

But i like Word of Healing for the "haha i just saved your @$$ from death AGAIN!" kinda feel. Of course, this works wonders if you have divine boon.

Divine boon+ Divine Intervention followed by Healing Word {E} is a very energy effective way of healing but it does tend to scare the bejeebus out of people as they are effectively reduced to 0 hp before being healed to full ( you essentialy cast DI at about 20%-10% health then watch em die ), As a Mo/R i have not really used OoB but from what I hear it is 'the' choice for a healer or prot monk.

I prefer peace and harmony since it gives u a nice extra energy pip. I personally don't like offering but others beg to differ.

really it depends for me

mostly i use Boon and Word of Healing since i can regen energy while my teamates health is droping and then when it gets low BAM hes at full hp again

If you have energy problems and you have to spam skills like a crazy person tokeep your team alive use OOB to get fast energy

If your getting beat up my a energy denial mesmer use Mantra of Resolve for a nice energy boost 20 seconds after u use it. I like this one in Tombs since shutdown mesmers are comon.

Shield of regeneration i realy never use.. same regen as healing breeze except you get 40 armor. whats 40 armor gonna do vs armor ignoring spells and hexes.

it will fend off and knock down any brand of warriors trying to constantly rape and interupt you. Does the same to rangers.

Mo/Mes orison, healing touch, divine boon, divine intervention, hex removal or condition removal, and the all important mantra of recall. make sure ur divine favour is high enough that boon heals for 70, stick on mantra b4 going in, heal like mad when they spike, then u get the nrg boost. if u getting hassled urslef watch urself, and put divine intervention on. then u dont have to worry bout urslef too much, while healing the rest of the team. I dont actually think that rez is entirely neccassary in gvg, but it is in 4v4.

thing is, watch out for enchantment ripping, especially on divine intervention, as u could find urslef letting some1 die

I'll let you in on a universal monk build that works with any secondary proffesion because you use none of secondary skills

Healing:16
Divine Favor:15
Protection:Rest of points

Healing Breeze
Word Of Healing
Orison Of Healing
Dwaynas Kiss
Healing Touch
Mend Ailment
Res spell of you choice
and whatever other spell you like

I change the last skill slot depending on the situation, but like I said I use this build a lot and it works wonders for me.

The point about Shield of Regen is that it's a Prot spell, which generally don't provide you with unconditional healing.

It's like Feast of Corruption: AoE stuff is definitely standard for Curses, but that fact that it has life-steal as well (usually Blood Magic-only) is what makes it elite.

Orisons and Word are 5 energy and other is 10 energy that is why it is an elite as well as healing those under 50% health. To OP if you are going into healing than Word or like others say Order of blood otherwise you can use infuse health but your timeing has to be right as you will be giveing 50% of your health to your ally. This is very common in PvP.It depends on what your secoundary is though if you want to use Word go with blood ritual.I wouldn't use aura of faith that is more of a PvE skill Define intervention is just as good.

In HoH, it's common for the healer to carry infuse (for healing spike dmg, you really need the 1/4s cast, heal other/word of healing won't do it). For energy management, unless your team is running something really unique that compliments for your energy management skills (like Victory is Mine! or blood ritual from a necro), you'll generally either want Mo/Me for channeling, inspired hex, and *maybe* mantra of recall (elite). Channeling is AMAZING in 8 vs 8 battles. You can also go Mo/N for offering of blood, like others have said, and then do divine favor + prot or heal + blood magic.

For PvP the selection of monk only elites could include:

Restore Condition
Life Barrier
Martyr
Aura of Faith (if you are an infuse healer, put AoF on yourself for mega Healing Touch love)

In general many monks in PvP go for energy management as their elite (Mantra of Recall or Offering of Blood). However some very specific team builds use the third or 4th monk for specific causes and those tend to utilized the less often used elites (Martyr and Restore Condition most notable).

A response to someone's comment about Aura of Faith's recycle...its a paltry 20 second recycle with a 1 minute duration. How is that bad? That doesn't include any +% enchanting mod. You could, conceivably, keep it up on 3 allies.
