In pvp, if anyone has lifebond that is cast on everyone, i suggest you cast this on the Life Bond User. Because it does Activate!

Should also be noted that this skill is questable from Druids overlook. Might be that it is only questable for primary monks.

I like to point out that the duration of Healing Seed changes with higher Healing Prayers.

Outside of Healing Balls, I have never found this spell entirely useful.

You're crazy.
This skill alone is the only reason why healing monks are worth it.

what other skill are you going to temporarily protect a target getting pounded by warriors? like the ghostly, or another monk or e/mo... nothing else is comparable really.

I feel that people rely too much on monks. Yes, they are very useful, but they can also make mistakes. So why not have a warrior bring in a stance to keep himself alive a bit more? Maybe like bonetti's?
And I feel that healing seed "skill alone is the only reason why monks are worth it" isn't really true.

HEAL monks not monks in general and yes it's true. Most of the heal skills are total crap compared to prot stuff with divine boon.
People don't rely too much on monks. They rely too much on reactive healing and little to none damage mitigation which is not wise. Don't believe me that straight up healing isn't great? Run 4 pure heal/DF monks without seed and run another 4 pure offensive characters and watch yourself get rolled.

In PvE a skill like Bonetti's is pretty good for a warrior, but that isn't because you should 'not depend on monks', its because the Warrior's job in PvE is to draw fire and thereby gain some energy with Bonetti's as well as tank the mobs.
Heal Seed is the 'only' reason I don't really agree with. I like Heal Area alot too.
Otherwise...yeah.

This skill now costs 10 energy to use instead of 15, and lasts only 10 seconds. The duration does not increase with higher Healing Prayers, only the health recovered will increase.

Argh. Ok just wondering if someone could explain to me how exactly this skill works. When it says "target ally is healed for 25 points" does it negate 25 dmg, AND heal 25? or does it just heal 25?
For example, if a teammate is going to take 100 damage from an attack, and i cast healing seed on him/her, does it only heal for 25 points when that person gets blasted with the 100 damage? Or does it first negate 25 points, in addition to healing 25 points?
Thanks.

-100
+25
So, net loss of 75 health.
Not such a great skill against spikes, but smite or other low, spamming damage gets pretty much negated by seed.

healing seed seems to me that it should be tied to the prot attribute. it seriously protects the person more than it heals, i mean when you take 25 damage and get healed for that much, thats *basically* like protecting them. same with healing hands.

but it doesnt protect them. It simply heals them when they take damage, which tbh is exactly what healers do. Reacts after the damage is dealt, as opposed to mop which just outright heals them for whatever.
