IW Team
I've noticed a lot of my guildies are running IW builds and I thought of a way to expand that into a GvG/Tombs and make a build.
So once again I must turn to you guys to help me develop this build
This is what I got so far:
3 IW Mesmers
1 Flag runner/100 Blades Carrier Elite= 100 Blades
1 Anti-Monk Character
2 Healing Monks with Spell Breaker as Elite
1 Prot Monk with Spell Breaker as Elite
Ok so far this is more GvG geared. Anyways the 3 IW mesmers copy the 100 Blades Character's Elite which is 100 Blades and they cast IW and CHARGE at the ememy.
But Oh NO they've got enchantment shatterers which are rdy to ruin the IW mesmer. But LOOK its SPELL BREAKER which will protect the mesmer's IW for a while.
The anti-monk character should be like a shutdown mesmer or mybe even a spell slasher to confuse the enemy as to which one is the anti-monk guy .
Well thats what I got so far commets as to what I should add and a purpose for the 100 Blade Carrier in Tombs?

Don't use Spell Breaker, just cover IW with other cheap enchant.

backfire is the way to go, just put +20 enchant grips on those monks...
i would actually drop the hundred blades idea, since you are using up a lot of energy for something that will last for 20 seconds and then won't be used for a long time (IW is already an energy problematic build...).
i could say "chillbanes owns your spell breaker", but that is stupid, since i have NEVER seen chillbanes be used (25 energy say what???). what i will say, is that shielding hands owns this...
the only problem with IW is that your damage is consistant, and does not spike well. even with a coordinated 100 blades strike, you will only cause under 300 damage. by the time your third attack strikes, that character will be healed and protected...

i've never liked the IW build.
It sure is frustrating to be a monk and sitting back casting off the heals to your teamates when some preppy, river-dancer comes running up swinging like a madman and doing +60 damage.
There is just to many ways to counter it and i dont see why anyone would go through the trouble of running it and getting the needed skills together.

On a tactical note, in GvG warriors frequently have to push deep into the other team to get at important targets. What makes this possible are skills such as Endure Pain, which give the warriors enough time to get back in range of a monk should they get targeted.
If you run 3-4 primary mesmers with Illusionary Weaponry, you're looking at 3-4 soft targets that have to over extend to hit an important target, meaning your monks will have to play almost in the opponents face if they want to stay in range of the mesmers....
Although it may be possible, i think its going to be extremely hard for the monks to juggle using Spell Breaker as the elite, playing close to the other team, and healing 3-4 soft targets that are just playing literally on the other teams backline.
On the other hand, the offense from this build really isnt spectacular. It wont be easy to spke with this build, just looking at the damage; and you have to get 4 people to hit one person at the same time. Even using "Charge", i dont think you will be able to land all your attacks fast enough on a moving target without a snare such as Gale.
Maybe, this build will work in a low ranked guild, however i just dont see this working against a guild in the top 100. Maybe im wrong, and good luck

Well IWAY depends on the constant high damage of its warriors that why its so good the same is applied for this build.
Well I guess I could drop the 100 blade carrier....anyone have any ideas what I should replace it with other then another IW mesmer.
Also lets not forgot that IW mesmer can make up their squishiness with distortion. Also I'm not exactly in a guild in the top 100......

that comment about iway being good kinda annoyed me, but ill let that one pass
iway warriors do more damage, and there are more of them...
IW, although many attempts to convert it to real PvP, is... and always will be... a CA build. i will even say a good CA build, when done right.
