(I compiled this list of "snowball" skills for my guild. I thought maybe folks here would find it useful too... unless this has already been posted somewhere. But I did a search and couldn't find anything, so here it is....)

ARENA EFFECT

Yuletide
Your maximum Health becomes 500, your maximum Energy becomes 40, and you have +4 Energy regeneration.

COMMON SKILLS

Snowball (1 casting)
Spell. You throw a slow-moving snowball at target foe. That foe takes 50 damage if it hits.

Mega Snowball (4 adrenaline, 1 casting)
Spell. You throw a very slow-moving snowball at target foe. That foe is knocked down and takes 75 damage if it hits.

Snow Down the Shirt (3/4 casting, 30 recharge)
Hex Spell. For 20 seconds, whenever target touched foe takes any damage while suffering this Hex, that foe is interrupted.

Hidden Rock (2 casting, 10 recharge)
Glyph. Your next snowball knocks down target foe and causes Daze.

Ice Fort (1 casting, 60 recharge)
Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, you block all incoming projectiles. Ice Fort ends if you move.

"Mmmm. Snowcone!" (60 recharge)
Shout. You are healed for 300 Health, and all of your attacks are disabled for 10 seconds.

DWAYNA-ONLY SKILL

Avalanche (1 casting, 30 recharge)
Spell. Target foe and all nearby foes are Crippled for 10 seconds.

GRENTH-ONLY SKILL

Yellow Snow (2 casting, 4 recharge)
Glyph. Lose one Condition. Your next snowball causes Disease.

ELEMENTALIST-ONLY SKILL

Icicles (2 casting, 20 recharge)
Hex Spell. Target and adjacent foes are struck for 75 cold damage and move 60% slower for 5 seconds.

MESMER-ONLY SKILL

Blinding Snow (1/4 casting, 10 recharge)
Spell. You interrupt target foe's action. That foe is Blinded for 10 seconds.

MONK-ONLY SKILL

Ice Breaker (1 casting, 45 recharge)
Enchantment Spell. For 10 seconds, target ally has +5 Health regeneration and anyone striking target ally with an attack is knocked down.

NECROMANCER-ONLY SKILL

Holiday Blues (1/4 casting, 20 recharge)
Spell. Sacrifice 100% max Health. All nearby foes take 50 damage, and you bring the Holiday Blues to this location. For 45 seconds, foes within the area of the Holiday Blues suffer -15 Health degeneration.

RANGER-ONLY SKILL

Flurry of Ice (3/4 casting)
Spell. Throw a snowball at up to 4 foes adjacent to your target. These snowballs deal 35 damage if they hit.

WARRIOR-ONLY SKILL

"Let's Get 'Em" (30 recharge)
Shout. For 5 seconds, all allies in the area move 10% faster. You gain 1 strike of adrenaline for each ally effected.

i assume you can only do these in the lower arenas?

Only arena these are avialable in are The DwaynavsGrenth arenas (You are teleported there from the major towns LA/Droks/Ascalon - its not actually a place on the map).

They are real, enter the snowball arena trough Ascalon and see for yourself
