A Different Trapper Build
Most trapper builds include either Oath Shot or Spike Trap. I had the idea of putting Crippling Shot on a trapper, so heres what i came up with.
Crippling Shot {E}
Flame trap
Dust Trap
Barbed Trap
Mantra of Resolve
Savage Shot
Apply Poison
Ressurection Signet
In essence, the only things i changed was to add Apply Poison and Crippling Shot instead of Spike Trap and whatever else a trapper would bring.
Lets compare the uses of Crippling shot vs. Spike trap. The clear advantages of Crippling Shot used with Apply Poison are that you will always cripple your target, and it can be reapplied as often as nescessary. (Apply Poison is mostly to cover the cripple condition, it really only matters if the monks are spamming mend ailment; they would have to use it twice to remove the cripple).
Spike Trap, on the other hand, both cripples and knocks down, but the cripple isnt guaranteed to hit whoever you specifically want. The knockdowns are very usefull, it provides nice interuption as well as gives you time to set another trap you know will hit whoever is still getting up. The trouble i had with it is simply that if youre looking to cripple one specific target, it doesnt do the job well at all.
One can take advantage of Crippling shot in many ways. It can be used to slow down the warriors target, it can be used to annoy enemy Warriors by keeping them constantly crippled, and it can be used to spread poison to the entire team.
In summary, i dont know if it will work better than a trapper with Spike Trap.
