Gear Farming Ideas
Hi everyone, I have a couple of builds that might be really good for warriors in Sorrows Furnace farming groups. Here's the first one.
W/E
Tactics 12+1+1
Earth Magic 12
Swordsmanship 3+1
Magnetic Aura
Shield Stance
Bonetti's Defense
Defensive Stance
Watch Yourself
Armor of Earth
Obsidian Flesh {E}
Rez Signet
If I use Obsidian Flesh while I'm holding a gear will the enemy casters attack me or will they use spells on my party members? If they don't cast spells that will get rid of most of my degen and my stances can do the rest. If they cast spells on others I'll have a dead party and some mad teammates.
If that doesn't work maybe this will.
W/E
Tactics 12+1+1
Water Magic 12
Swordsmanship 3+1
Defensive Stance
Shield Stance
Disciplined Stance
Bonetti's Defense
Watch Yourself
Armor of Mist
Mist Form {E}
Rez Signet
Does Mist Form protect you from spells and degen or does it only work verses attacks? I would be grateful if someone could answer my questions so that I don't have to waste time and Signets of Capture on these elites if they won't work

mist form only nullifies damage from attacks. As far as I have used it that includes any attacks (bow, sword, wand, etc) but does not include any spells. Also it seems to me that while holding an item you are automatically the highest priority target, but I think that other teammates will be attacked if you are not easily accessible...

I don't think shield stance will work when you're holding a gear and how will you charge bonetti's or watch yourself? is the adren you get from enemies hitting you enough to keep it up regularly?

Magnetic Aura isn't as good as normal Warrior stances, plus it's an enchantment - fodder for Shatter Enchantment when Ob Flesh is down. I'd take Dolyak Signet over Armor of Earth. And with Obsidian Flesh, casters won't target whoever they don't target normally. Meaning that Wardens and Dark Binders just stand around, but Taskmasters already hex anyone in range.
While holding a gear, Shield Stance will slow you down but will not give you the 75% chance. Swap it for another 75% stance.
Adrenaline isn't too hard to get if you have Balthazar's Spirit up, which a Monk could bring. Adrenaline from enemy hits isn't enough to keep Bonetti's or "Watch Yourself!" up.

speaking from experience, you will never need bonnettis unless your for some reason using a very energy heavy build. now, one easy way to enhance your build is to swap AoE for dolyak signet. i use 11 + 4 strength, 10+ 1 tactics, and 10 (earth/water here) in whatever else, usualy smitimg for me for balth spirit. for an elite, id reccomend glads def over all, but mist form over obsidian flesh cause you wont face to many negative spells other than degen and water spells. *damn slow typing PSP! what savio said*

Thanks guys, that was helpful. I don't know how I finished all those runs with Shield Stance. Those two builds were just ideas, my main on was:
W/Mo
Tactics 12+1+1
Healing Prayers 12
Swordsmanship 3+1
Gladiator's Defense
Shield Stance
Defensive Stance
Bonetti's Defense
Purge Conditions
Healing Breeze
Balthazar's Spirit
Rez Signet
Since reading your posts I've come up with this.
W/Mo
Tactics 10+1+1
Strength 11+1
Healing Prayers 10
Gladiator's Defense
Defensive Stance
Disciplined Stance
Bonetti's Defense
Dolyak Signet
Healing Breeze
Balthazar's Spirit
Rez Signet
I haven't noticed any difference with Balthazar's Spirit when I have Smiting at 10. If there is an advantage in having Smiting I can switch Smiting and Healing Prayers and take out Breeze in favor of Smite or Symbol of Wrath.
And yes it would have been hard to run Watch Yourself and Bonetti's Defense in my first two builds, I just forgot I didn't have Spirit

eh, you dont need healing breeze since you will have a healing monk whose almost sole purpose will be saving you, unless you want to use it as fodder for shatter encahant before each battle
