He had Throw Dirt, Whirling Defenses, EoE, and Oath Shot on his bar, but I can't remember what else or how he did the actual killing... time to go search.
**EDIT**
Wow I can't find it anywhere! I have found references to it and the build itself... but the actual thread where it was described is nowhere to be found. It had a video and all, which was a huge help. It's a difficult farming build.
I found a semi reference/explanation of a build very similar here.
However, the build I remember used no non ranger skills. I know I have the video on my computer somewhere... maybe if I'm nice I'll watch it tomorrow and post my observations.
If we want to find the original post, we might need some help from the almight Savio, the God of Searching.

You are refering to "Bodies" - and that guy uses a Monk AoE spell for his dmg skill in the video.

I go out there quite a bit to try different builds and I haven't found it to be very profitable at all. I've had several major vigors and some superior runes, but none really worth much. Gold and purple items are a rarity as well and I've never received anything very valuable. Once in a while I will get a Shiverpeak key, but I'm not into chest farming so I just sell them.
If you're looking for materials, it's pretty good - each run will pretty much fill your inventory with items to salvage.

I dont think grawl farming is very profitable just an annoying waste of time. I've never gotten a single rare or purple after slaughtering half the grawl in that area including the bosses several times. I use a w/n build wit plague touch + interupt plague signet using savage slash. So while they're easy to kill they usually drop crap. I suggest soloing fissure of woe, it's a helluva alot more profitable than these grawl

If I am lucky I can get about 1k on each run. And 1 run lasts 2 - 3 minutes. I occasionally get a purple or rare rune so I'd say this is NOT a waste of time.

I farm this area for salvage, thats it!! Materials galore!! And ive got a max dam Fiery Sword pretty decent mods, gold staffs, and some other decent weapons! But you have to kill the imps and azures in the way back!! Thats normally where the good drops are!! Pretty hard though with a ranger to kill those fukerss!!!
Farming is meant to be done with one or 2 people to maximize drops and Xp!

Ok, My story.
I experimented alittle and finally got a build that works how it should (quite similar to the "Bodies" build).
PROBLEM THOUGH....After looking at the video and looking at my own screen as I farmed it once...I figured something out - There are ALOT less Grawl (specifically the warrior ones) in that area.
Problem with this? I can barely EVER get enough warriors on me so that when they die the Crone's die (from EoE) - they always have about 1/3 or less health left because not enough warriors died to fully kill them.
This also means that not as much loot drops..because of the sheer lessened number of enemies, and the loot is always horrible (except for materials). NOTHING over blue in color dropped in 20 minutes of farming.

Just make sure to lure all the groups in the area. Including the boss group. This gets about 12 Melee grawls on me, so all the grawls go down when the first 2 dies.

EoE has an annoying issue, if you kill mobs that you dont aggro they will rarely, if ever, drop anything. Discovered that during the Wintersday event when I was farming gargoyles for their skulls ouside Nolani and it should apply here as well.

It really depends on the boss spawn. If the monk spawns that doesn't mean it's impossible to do it. It just takes a little longer to outdamage it.
I've been using Whirling defence and EoE as my only dmg skills. Nothing else. Troll is better than Healing Sig, because you can't get your tactics very high and Troll is better against degen.

Which would be preferred? Glads with whirling or Greater Conflag with Drakescale armor?
