Pure Beastmaster build
This is (at least in pvp) one very rare class, maybe even rarer than Water Elementalist.
Most people think pets are just buggers, and cant really make a difference in PvP. Well think twice, pets have some really nasty skills
This build is for PvP, I've never tested it in PvE.
Pros:
Players rarely attack your pet, strong melee skills, fast recharge, good energy managment, awesome pet heal.
Cons:
You better hide, because you wont be able to take much beating.
Attributes:
Beastmastery 16 (12 + mask +1 + sup rune)
Expertise 12 (11 + minor rune)
Wilderness Survival 8 (6 + major rune)
Skills:
Ferocious Strike (E)
Disrupting Lunge
Brutal Strike
Troll Unguent
Lightning Reflexes
Comfort Animal
Resurrection Signet
Charm Animal
Armor:
Anything except the one with most mana, you wont be needing extra mana.
Weapon:
Candy bow or in my case, longbow (for making your pet attack from greater distance) and a Hale Staff of Fortitude (+60hp and for +10 energy)
This is work in progress. Three pet attack skills are enough, FS have 8 seconds recharge while DL and BS have 5 seconds recharge, you will be able to spam them all without worrying about your energy.
I still need some improvement over this, ranger himself is very weak, and TU will regenerate +7 hp which is not enough.
Any comment is welcome

I would say a bit less BM, 15 is still enough. Dump the rest then in WS for TU.

Yes, I was thinking about that. Also maybe change Lightning Reflexes to Whirling Defense since WD lasts longer.
You really miss 1-2 extra skill slot(s) for this build.
Take away one pet skill and it wont be nearly as good, take away one of your defense skills and you wont be able to keep yourself alive. Resurrection Signet is always a must in PvP.

I think you should get rid of Comfort Animal and hope for the best . Then you can add two defensive skills.

Pure BM build is not competitive enough...sorry.
Been using all types of BM builds and I find pure BM is the weakest of all.
First of all, pet does 'melee' damage. It suffers everything a warrior suffers, with Ward against Foes and Melee being the worst. Beast Master lacks skill slots even for self defense, let alone a cure for pet's conditions/hexes. If your pet is blind, you are pretty much doomed because Poison Antidote only works on yourself. So the logical secondary choice will be Monk. Purge Condition and Mend Aligment are very nice cure skill to use, but that's one more skill slot gone.... sigh.
More and more people are attacking pets now. If you rely 100% on pet, it's no good unless you have a monk on your team that can help you out.
Not saying your build sucks.... it's a pretty typical pure BM build which is not good enough IMO.

Well the point is, it's very fun to play.
More people attacking pets is not a big issue. Your pet healing heals over 100hp, recharge after 1 second, and with high expertise it costs about 5 mana.
While healing your pet you can still easily spam its attack skills, you dont need to wait for one to be cast.
Smart players wouldnt attack pets just because if you kill the beastmaster it will stop attacking after few seconds. That's why I included WD and TU in my build.
Still, I must agree, it's a very weak build, but fun to play. Most of my builds are for fun play, when I feel like killing people, I switch to my blood/illusion necro

Ye lose the self-heal but ye retain the defensive stance. No more Brutal Strike, but you have Call of Haste and Judge's Insight to make the pet's basic attack better. Ferocious and Disrupting are standard issue for a Beastmaster. Heh...I'd never run this in a thousand years, but for a Beastmaster it may be something new and unusual.
