New Patch = New Forge Running Build?
Ok I've Been A Forge Runner For Months Now And Its The Way I Get My Money. But After The Patch I Havent Made 1 Single Run And Im Seriously Getting Pissed. The Worms Last So Long Now And Im Getting Spanked By The Top Of The Cave.
So I Was Just Wondering, Is There Another New Build Or A Build That Works Really Well For Forge Running Now. Cuz My Build Which Used To Never Fail Isnt Working Now!!!
Here Is My Current Setup That Used To Work 100%
Heal Sig / Remove Hex / Defensive Stance / Sprint / Balanced Stance / Charge / Healing Breeze / Endure Pain
Plz I Need To Run Forge Or I Will Be Broke Forever Ahhhhhhhhhhh

While I haven't ran yet, im pretty sure it's just as easy as it has always been. Probably easier since they don't chase you now.

Well for one thing healing sig is the most useless skill for a runner.
You cant use healing sig when you are being attacked beacause the -40 armor will kill you, therefore it would only be useable when you are not bring, in which case natural regen would work just as well.
so I would definitly take that out of you build
Have you used the search button yet? There are tons of threads that give detailed instructions

they aren't meant to chase you as mcuh but go tell that to the frost wurms who seem determined to follow you all the way to sodding droknar's forge if they ahd the chance.
lornar's seems to be the exception to the rule to the new enemy AI.
oh and i'd imagine it'd be an inetresting experience anyone trying to run to drok's without charge as their elite. the AI change is for aoe stuff, not jsut smiting, stuff liek shield and direct smites don't ahve any scatter effects.

Yeah, I noticed that the worms follow you all the way up the ramp and down into the first cave. So when your balance stance runs out, you'll be bombarded by worms, avicara's, first group of ice golems and rock throwers.

Did you not see Endure Pain? It's an instant cast skill that nets you 200+ HP for 10+ seconds (it's been so long since I've ran I can't remember the exact details). That's more than enough time to get to safety and heal up using Healing Signet. Then, instead of waiting for your energy to go back up after casting monk healing spells, you go on your way.
For my runner build, it looks like this:
12+1+3 Tactics
12+1 Strength
Sprint
Charge {E}
Balanced Stance
Endure Pain
Healing Signet
Smite Hex
Mend Ailment
Holy Veil

That's almost like my build. Due to connection problems, I've only been able to get to the first cave before getting Err=7. It does seem like they follow you all the way. I'll give SoJ a try, one question though. After they're knocked down, do they stop following? I tried killing them but they're kind of hard.

it's pathetic that you need to come to the forums for a build to complete the droknar run...you'd think that with the countless runs you've completed to date you would have taken notice of what was going on allowing you to modify the current build yourself....then again I guess I expect too much from the common GW player.
you could always use a Ghost-In-The-Box to get the Worm off your back.

SoJ + Sprint = bad guys left in the dust
Works especially nice when you are mind frozen and cant do anything, with your enemies falling down, thats more time to get away.
