i use this formation mainly in GVG with many players but i learned with the time that if u play it rigth it works almost anywere

The Chaosmaker
(your objetive its to cause confusion in the enmy lines ,break up formations, and have players stop lisening to theyr leaders so your dramage team can single out a prey and destroy it. of course you will destroy your own too)

goes like this ...

SKILLS
Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantasm
Ilusionary Weponry
Clumsiness
Ilusion Of Weakness
Physical Resistance
Resurection Signet
Ether Feast

ATRIBUTE POINTS
at your own likes ...
but u should concentrate in ilussion magic , inspiration and whtevers left in fast casting

GAME
we all know that brute warr that always come charging the first in to your group rigth? ... theres one in evry enemy team .... well .. thats gonnna be your first victim ..... phantom pain him and then conjure .... run back a lil bit and then physical resistence ...... keep hexing him and now use IW he wont run untill he notices hes a dead man .. thats when u hex him again and hell be pretty much screwed ..... when ur done u move to the next warrior .. .then rangers then the rest of the casters ......
the defensive its evien easier .. just RUN ... NEVER STOP RUNING .... thats what you do to confuse them run rigth trouth their lines ..... adn if u get chased by a war .... run use the resitance and use climsines ... wich will give u a time spawm of aboyt 1.5 seconds so u can use ether feast or hex the warrior ...... if ur chased by a caster ... just ehter feast and hex him ....

i think maybe takign flurry+illusnary is very nice combo

also if u got alot in illusioon take imagen burden or ethral burden. For the slow down.

if u got good monks in ur guild i dont know u rank or build ect, so i would drop
Ilusion Of Weakness for flurry
Ether Feast for imagen burden
Physical Resistance for arcan condurm.

hope its consutuctive enough ^^

we use only one monk in our team thats y we try to heal opursleves ... also we have a dramage based build

looks like a decent build which really preys on the weakness of the opponent. Many players (myself included) often make the mistake of being kited away, that's often a big mistake.

One thing though, I'm not too sure abt Physical resistance as compared to Distortion, i feel Distortion is much better than physical resistance because not all warriors do physical damage but distortion makes him miss everytime regardless of the war's dmg type.

And yes in 8v8 if u have good monks, u dun need much self defense or healing spells...

IW without Flurry is just not good enough i feel.. u're short-changing urself alot of dmg if u run IW without flurry or some stance that makes u attack faster...

thx for the imput man ... it comes out its much more efective for me ... since im always rtunning ... its a nice way to gain precious seconds to cast ehter feast without the war hitting u .. lso gioes easier on my low mana .... only problem its when im face to face with a war its a litle hard to use ..... but it comes out better then physical .. thanks

i wouldn't mess with the warriors unless they attack you first. even then i'd cast imagined burden on the warrior and split for the monk.
kill the casters with this IW badmofo.

I wouldnt cast phantom pain unless you were goin to shatter it for the spike. its not a bad spell but the degen is almost worthless. i like the deep wound but it's not all that beneficial. conjure is nice to add to the dmg. clumsiness doesn't do much to a caster and since mesmers want to bother everyone i'd drop it. physical resistance is fine against physical dmg but if there happens to be one air ele, and there are more than a few, you're toast. armor penetration and your weakened elemental resistance would be the end of you. ether feast is an ok heal but it's slow.

you are an IW mesmer and you have no way to speed up your attacks. flurry at least.
you have no snare. you want to make sure you will hit EVERY TIME while IW is up. imagined burden is great for this.
you have a lot of 10 energy skills with no way to get back energy. if they remove your IW and you get interrupted even once you could be in a lot of trouble. power drain or drain enchantment would help.
you have illusion of weakness. i'd keep that as your heal and drop ether feast. i know you want to take some load off the monk but jeesh, its just ether feast. if you have to count on ether feast to save your match you're in deep shite.
im not a very good monk but i think i could heal through your phantom, conjure and IW onslaught. the only thing that would worry me is if you had an interrupt. if you catch the monk at the right spell it will be his doom.

illusion of weakness
conjure phantasm, arcane conundrum(this pisses me off more than backfire when i'm a caster), sympathetic visage(cover for IW), leech sig(energy mgmt), channeling(cover for IW), etheral burden(energy mgmt)
imagined burden(great snare)
IW
flurry
power drain/drain enchantment
distortion
res


you have 16 illusion i hope. if not make sure you do. and i'd put the rest in inspiration.
