55 ~ W/mo
Hey everyone, I just had a small question for you all. I have wanted to do a 55 Monk Build for sometime now and I'm not really all into making a new char and just working it to the top just to farm with.
I have made a E/Mo before and the 55 Build is supposed to work I guess with anything/Mo or Mo/anything.
Now I may be wrong but if I can get my W/Mo to 55 life and use the monk skills for the build would that work? I have seen a Mo/W and really there is no diffrence, besides I have never read that divine is a needed attr. for the 55 build.
Can someone please clear this up for me? Thanks!

What I hear most in response to this is usually the difference in the warrior's 2 pips of energy regen and the monk's 4 pips of regen. Perhaps if you use protective spirit and healing breeze leaving both essence bond and balthazar's spirit as your maintained enchants, i guess you could pull it off against a non-mesmer. Never tried though, since at 55hp you really wouldn't be using the warrior's armor(unless you use droks armor and are fighting weak enemies). Plus, my 55 monk is generally a passive fighter, since Shield of Judgement does all the fighting for me, so having an active fighter might be interesting at the least.
Hey, give it a shot and tell us how it went. At least superior warrior runes aren't as expensive as monks. 0_o

agree with above poster.
the only issue is energy. a monk can maintain 3 enchants and still have 1 pip of regen. blessed signet, which is tied to divine favor, is then used to recover more energy.
if you can manage your energy, a 55 w/mo build should be no problem. of course, the places in which you farm will be more limited than a mo/w.

Yea I got a Vampric Chaos Axe! :O
Would griffin farming south for aurgy rock be good? I can use Balthz for mana or one of my tactic stances.
Oh and I'm a lv 20, pretty much beat all of the game. (Waiting for America Favor to go to UW! ) I also got Desert Collectors armor, 80 and a plate helm 85.

you don't need a 55 build to take on griffons.

You don't even need a 55 wammo to solo UW, just take a look at "someone's" guide on how to.

I got a question... may this 55 warrior work like in UW? im thinking in w/mo with common smite (though slower with aoe nerf), and when u get to nightmares, maybe with a req 7 axe or sword (easy to have this) might be enough to whack a nightmare before he rends? or maybe distracting blow might make the work

Hi Hi
experimented using the 55hp warrior before the AoE nerf. was very fun. here's a little screenie. taken at elonas reach.
but now that u cant effectively use balth aura etc., putting in galds defence and maybe riposte would be better. energy management is not too much of a problem if you have plenty of melee fighters around you. but like striderkaaru said, the places you can farm is really limited as a w/mo.

A regular warrior with full life can kill Bladed Aatxes, Grasping Darkness, and Smite Crawlers solo.

You must remember that a warrior main function is the ability to deal damage and to take it, now if you're war has got 55 HP and prot spirit then the whole damage taking ability is put to no use (You could go in with no armor and the same dmg would be dealt to you). That aside you must remember you cannot use any runes that would be much use to you. I'm afraid even if you used a staff for energy this would not work .

if you count the loot you will see i killed 9 minotaurs. their bodies disappear after a while. here is a little screenie taken a few seconds before the previous one. can you count 6 mino's in the pic below??
anyway, posted the pic just to prove that 55hp warrior is possible, even though he is not too flexible.

55 Warrior is easy and is how I got the money to afford the runes for my 55 monk a long time ago.
It's not as easy as the monk version because of the regen but it is a piece of cake overall.
You would be better of saving money and using a riposte build though.
