Just recently I (Wa/Mo) have been farming the area north of Nolani and not doing the mission in there. I have been using the following.

Hundred Blades
Severe Artery
Seeking Blade
Endure Pain
Rush
Healing Breeze
Balthazar's Spirit
Watchful Spirit

I usually take out the first group just to get my energy up and then go up the stairs and aggro all groups up there (should be a total of 4-5 groups of gargs). I pull them back to the boss into one big group. I pick out my target (usually a Ressurect Garg) and hit Blades. Takes out almost all of them.

Then I go on to the next group. I have received about 20 Dyes in 30 tries. Only 1 Black though.

its a long hike, and remember to bring lots of slavage kits

havent thought to try the mission

Almost any class combination can farm this place, its easy considering the low level.
I used to farm this constantly during the wintersday events so i didn't have to pay the inflated prices for the carvings.
Its simple...heres how my build works. (w/r)
Apply Poison, Cyclone Axe. Thats pretty much it.
All the charr surround you, you spin and poison them all.
They die. and you finish off the remaining few, collect and repeat

DarkusC, what they're aluding to is opening the gates and tanking the first mob. Not so easy as walking through the mission the normal way ~_^

Personally, I prefer my Barrage Protbot for this. Just gotta remember that all the melee Charr have Wild Blow and will use it on you at every opportunity. So, Shielding Hands + Troll Ungent for the first mob, take them down with Barrage, then put up WD and take down the casters. Easy easy.
