Some Qs IM CONFUSED
ok, i have a necro, nec monk lvl 20 and was trying to be a MM when i first made the char but am now seeing as it is alot harder then it looks and i just dont know what the hell im doing, i switch between a death blood mix with some healing prayers (healing breeze and orizon).
I was wondering what the proper skills were for a MM (i know its probably asked alot.)
Also when i go farming in the war camp (the only place to farm right now) i put blood up to 12 and death to 9 and just try to attack one at a time so i dont attract too much attention (deathly swarm made me really popular) so should i stick to one type of necro or can i keep switching in and out whenever i want. I would like to only use one strat (MM or Blood) but if i have to swithc i can handle that.
Also, instead of starting a new post i thought i might as well ask What are some frequently used abbreviations on GW, such as Invinci (i think) SS, SB, SV, hat... stuff like that, mainly conserning necros.
Also someone mentioned a 55hp build, what would be the purpose of that?
I dont know how far in the game i am, i just got across the river On the top western part of the map (can someone tell me)

The skills i use when being a MM are Bone feind, bone minions, vertas sacrifice, healing breeze, & blood of the master, I have 12 in death, and 10 in healing. I don't do as well as some people i have seen, They seem to be able to raise 30ish and keep them alive, i usually average around 20 give or take. Which is still pretty good in my opinion.

Hmmmm...
I was doing a minion master a while ago, but I found that healing spells increases the degen rate of the minions itself. I don't know if I was seeing things or not.
Silhouette is basically right. Verata's skills. You can check them out in the cool skills directory on the Guild Wars guru website! It's so useful!
Cheers!

I used to use that too (heal area) but the minions were never close enough to me as much as they needed to be. Another thing that i tend to have probelms with if i am farming outside of war camp is all of the gnashers taking corpses, which makes it more difficult to get a high number of fiends. If you don't alreay be sure to target them first when farming there. That helps as well.
I got the Verta's skills in copperhammer mines by the way

after you complete that mission you will go to sanctum cay (another mission) and then you will go into the desert.
To find out more on the invince monk i belive there is a link to something someone created telling you ALL about them. They are great for farming

There's actually some interesting MM builds you can do with a /Ranger secondary; once you ascend, you might think about switching off /Monk to take advantage of things like Healing Spring. I used to run a little 'Death Squad' build as N/W but've never done a proper minion master, so can't add much beyond that.

This is my normal SF/MS/Ettin farming MM build:
Blood Magic: 9
Death Magic: 16
Soul Reaping: 9
Healing: 7
Vampiric Gaze
Offering of Blood
Animate Bone Horror
Animate Bone Fiend
Verata's Sacrifice
Blood of the Master
Heal Area
Vengeance
This is a pure MM build, designed to build and maintain the largest possible army. I usually have 20-30 minions active with this build, and have briefly peaked at 60+ active at one time.
Rule #1
Use Verata's Sacrifice at all time. The instant it recharges, recast it.
Rule #2
Always lead your minions into battle and always fire FIRST. Minions will follow your lead only if they aren't aggroed on a target.
Once you've drawn aggro, take two steps back into your minions. Get them to surround you, and keep them between you and the enemy.
Rule #3
Always be doing something. You should be Attacking, Raising or Healing at all times. Being a good MM requires a lot of focus. There's always something to be done.

55hp build isn't just for monks...
